We stayed at this hotel in late March 2014 as part of a group. The hotel's location in the town is central, however there is not much to do here anyway except enjoy the views. The room was basic as stated in previous reviews, beds comfortable and clean. The bathroom required you to go up 3 steps making a 3am trip to pee and adventure in the dark. Otherwise, everything is just old, including the hostess at the front desk who was both old and grumpy.
Buffet breakfast was simple; bread, meats, cheese, fresh yogurt and preserves. Some of the bread items were left out uncovered all day and overnight until the next morning. We at dinner two nights here and both were bad. Entree's were tasteless stews and side dishes were undercooked rice one night and overcooked potatoes the next. The service was quick and fast, making you feel like you had to hurry to catch a flight. One night we had dinner start at 7pm and we were served dessert and out the door by 7:40pm! The other issue was the table linens were not changed from dinner to breakfast, allowing you to enjoy the morsels and stains from the previous diner's meal.
If your traveling in this area to see Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus, go further north and stay closer to the center of town.More
