Hotel Belair
Ranked #2 of 2 Hotels in Wallisellen

Pleased overall, but the small rooms in this older building lack sufficient ventilation. No fan in the shower. However, this hotel despite being rather simple contains just enough class that you will feel like you're getting a boutique hotel stay. Seeing smoked salmon on the breakfast table, in addition to being served outstanding coffee with the included breakfast, tips my review to the positive side. Airport travellers: there is a bus directly from the airport with a stop directly outside the hotel (wallisellen belair is the name of the stop) if you care to spend 5 francs instead of 40 on a cab.

My wife and I flew in in the morning and hoped to get into our room for a quick jet lag nap. The staff was accommodating and we only had to wait 30 minutes before our room was ready. This hotel is in the center of town. It is well appointed, has a nice restaurant and limited parking. The hotel also has no air conditioning which normally is no problem...we were on the 5th floor so we opened a window. THE TRAFFIC NOISE WAS UNBEARABLE; However closing the window made the room too hot to stay in. In the morning around 5:30 am the Jets start landing right over the Hotel!!!! You won't sleep in this Hotel!!!!!!!!!!

Stayed here with some colleagues as very close to our office. The first problem we had was finding somewhere to park, my colleague was given directions to an overflow car park which was also full!

The rooms are fairly average - the main problem is the noise as nearby there is a busy road and the railway. I managed to get a fifth floor room which was a little quieter but not ideal for a good nights sleep.

The hotel tries very hard to be trendy but not a great success IMO. Breakfast was OK but service was a little slow

I stayed in this hotel because our office is nearby and the hotel is really a good choice. It's nearby the railway station and it seems the rest of Wallisellen (part of Zurich) is quiet and convenient to stay.

I would really like to stay here again when I need to go back to our office.
They have a great breakfast in the morning !

The Bel Air is a good business style hotel on a direct busline to the airport ( Bus # 58 ) with a first class attached restaurant serving the best Italian style food, plus more continental favorites. Currently in transition, the hotel is moving up to four stars, so there is construction going on. The current business style rooms are excellent, have all the internet connections and flat screen tv and really beautiful bath. I find a good nights stay here before the return trip to the USA to be a good thing. The Cantinella restaurant has a GREAT CHEF.....he makes all the extras by hand...especially Pasta that makes me want to weep with pleasure. The small roast chicken is served in two parts...after you have devoured the first portion, they bring you the other still warm from the stove. Excellent wine list of Italian wines at excellent prices....some rare Tuscany wineries...for instance...Lamole di Lamoli....where one finds another great restaurant. The ice cream is heaven, and the homemade lemon cello comes in two versions. The bar area is friendly and locals come and go. Most people there were from the area, making it a popular choice to dine. You will like this place and the village, where you can run or walk and experience the local life. On the Swiss Rail, three blocks away.
