“Horrible place!!!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

This place must have been a hotel maybe like 30 years ago. It is one of the worst hotels i've visited.Everything is falling apart, the furniture is very old and the rooms are dirty. I didn't even bother to visit the pool. We only stayed for one night and it was more than enough. Don't even think about visiting this hotel!!!

Room Tip: Don't go even near this place!

We stayed at Hotel Galini for a week 4th August until 10th August. I cannot recommend highly enough, great clean family run hotel. Rooms with tiled floors, fresh beds, towels changed daily and bathroom refreshed, great little balcony for the evening and small TV...aircon was excellent. Breakfast in beautiful setting below the pine trees...good selection of breads, eggs, cheese and ham. Fresh melon and cereals and jams....just great to set you up for the day with as much coffee and orange juice as you like, at just a great economic price for a low budget holiday. We spent numerous hours on the pool deck...lovely spot with gazebo area with white covered sofas...and the view over the bay is just breathtaking. I travel a lot and took this trip with my son age 12, we both agreed as we left on the ferry we will definitely come back as a family to Hotel Galini, I can say the atmosphere was great and family run a great hotel. Every morning at breakfast I was welcomed with a huge smile, on one occasion i was offered a lift into town to save us walking...its just great. The hotel is 5-8min walk down hill to the beautiful beach at Aegina Marina, so if you have walking difficulties its worth keeping in mind, that said most hotels are on a slope down into the Marina so many Apartments and hotels in the region have a similar incline up hill from the beach...2 sunbeds and umbrella from 6 euro, fantastic sea view tavernas with lunches from 5 euro per main course. what are you waiting for !!

Room Tip: Would advise to book with breakfast if you get a good deal our room overlooked the Greek Church at...

We stayed four nights in this delightful hotel. The staff was excellent as were the facilities. A wonderful breakfast every morning, outdoors under the pine trees. A gentle breeze wafting through the trees brought back childhood memories. It's a great location on a hillside. Our room had a nice view looking through the pines to the ocean. We could watch the boats and ships passing by. I asked Nick, one of the owners, about renting a motorcycle and he took me directly to the agency. In ten minutes I was riding a motorcycle back to the hotel. Amazing service. Walking the village streets at night was incredible. All the shops stayed open till after 11:00. Many restaurants to choose from. We will be back.

We stayed at this hotel from June 11 to the 16th. From the very beginning we were treated extremely well. No request was to big. We were given a choice of rooms, breakfast every morning was wonderful and great coffee. Nikos and Nadia were always helpful with advice of where to go and what to see. Nikos was always ready to entertain us when we got back from our excursions. The roof top bar and pool were beautiful. We saw the most amazing lighting show up there one evening. We had a beautiful time there and I was so sorry to leave on our last day. Thank you Nikos and Nadia ( and your dad! ) for a truly wonderful holiday.

We have just stayed at the Galini Hotel and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for something different and romantic!
It is up a small hill so may not be suitable if you have walking difficulties, although the staff regularly offer to take you the 100 metres to town!!!
The pool area is an oasis in the glaring sun, decked out with loungers and sofas in the shade. It's very romantic at night, lit with candles and soft music.
The staff will do anything to make sure you are happy, you can even pick your room when it's not busy.
Amazing service and the rooms are decked out in old style wood, some may say its out of date but I think it suits the romance and setting of the hotel.
We will definitely be back!

We had a great time, the hotel is located in a very romantic environment, surrounded by trees and next to the sea. You can relax on the roof, have a coctail by the pool and enjoy the amazing view. The friendly staff was more than willing to help us with all the information we needed on how to spend our days on the island, they recommended the most vivid restaurants and bars and the best beaches. Plus, they give you your own hairdryer (a real one, not the fake one attached to the wall). Excellent value for money, we will definitelly be back.

Room Tip: If you are a couple ask for a double bed when you make your reservation.

A lovely hotel located in a tranquil location and beautiful beaches within walking distance!!My room was clean and comfortable, with airconditioning and tv plus a nice view from the balcony.I believe it's a great place to stay whether you're traveling with friend, family or as a couple.Agia Marina(the village in Aigina where the hotel is) is a cute village with nice tavernas to eat.The temple of Afaia isn't far either. And the highlight:a great roof bar and swimming pool!I definitely recommnd it and I'm looking forward to visiting Aigina again!!
