“worst nightmare of a holiday”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Checking at the hotel was fine, from there everything went down hill. I traveled with a friend and her 2 year old. On arrival at the room there was not a cot which we had requested, we asked reception to send one up but unfortunately it took 3 days, other than that the room was basic but clean and tidy. The mini bar if you can call it that consisted of 2 bottles of coke, 2 bottle of fanta, 2 bottles of beer.
The food in the restaurants was ok if you liked salad, fruit, rice, fish it didn't cater really for English or fussy eaters let alone children.
The Italian restaurant which i thought would serve pizza, lasagna etc did not serve this, only fish, soup, and nothing really Italian.
We were told that the 2 year old was not allowed in the children' s club as he was English and not German or Russian. Which we thought was not acceptable.
We were pestered by men taking photo of us around the pool which then made it uncomfortable to sun bath until they got the message.
The reps were never really to be seen which made it impossible to raise our concerns and the reception didn't want to know when we had a problem with the cleaner.
I think this hotel is not suitable for the English and will not be recommending it. Catered more for Russians and Germans.

Me and my partner have been here twice once for two weeks the next for a month (obviously we enjoyed it the first time). We both love the hotel, it's clean, cosy and has a lovely atmosphere when it's busy or quiet. The staff throughout the whole hotel are amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are cleaned daily by lovely house keeping staff that are again friendly and patient (I'm not an early riser). The food is great with amazing presentation and loads of choice for kids and adults. I recommend this hotel to adults on couples trips or family trips as this hotel can cater for all ages.

People say you either love or hate turkey, I was the latter. Tiles floors around pools very sloppy and dangerous, water in pool beginning of October was freezing could not even go in it some days. Evenings were freezing so if going late in season take some trousers and cardis. Beach was ok, very rocky in places, self serve beach bar. Very clean premises my kids enjoyed the slides, when the water wasn't too cold, but I put this down to the time of year.Entertainment not good at all, geared toward German/Russian groups. All in all it was ok, they say u either love or hate turkey, I feel this hotel has put me off. May try a different part in a few years.

Returned from this location 22nd May and can say this holiday was superb value for what this hotel provides. After arriving at about midnight we were checked in and helped to our room within half an hour by the helpful staff. The complex is huge, with lots of water based fun, 30+ water slides, including smaller ones for the younger children, we never found a problem getting sun beds etc but we were there early in the season. The water was, however, very cold! There was daily organised activities and evening entertainment led by the multi lingual animation team. The beach is a short walk from the main hotel, it's not the best beach but the children enjoyed making sand castles and paddling in the sea.
The food choice was good with always something on offer in several locations around the complex. The choice was varied day to day in the main buffet style dining area, always presented well. The fresh meat/ fish/ chicken/ kebabs served in the tented area were particularly good and the fresh omelettes, pancakes, fried eggs and toasted sandwiches made to order were a popular breakfast choice with our two young children. It could get busy, and in high season this must be a problem, but at the time we were there we never struggled to get a table and the queues never lasted more than a few minutes. The staff were always friendly, quick to clear dirty dishes, although many with very limited English. Drinks were ok, although not being big drinkers we only sampled the wine and Efes beer, and soft drinks. A La Carte restaurant was ok, nothing special, but offered a quieter dining alternative( we only sampled the Turkish A La Carte).
We were in a family room, set slightly apart from the main hotel building. The room was large but basic with 2 very good sized bedrooms, a bathroom with both bath and shower and two small balconies with limited sea view. Rooms were cleaned daily and mini bar replenished sporadically with beer, water and soft drinks. Coffee and coffee whitener was also provided as there was a kettle( although we had to take cups from the dining hall!).
We took two trips organised by holidays reps, 1 to a traditional Hamam and another on a river boat cruise with time at a bazaar for shopping. Both were good, and a nice change from the hotel as there was much near the hotel to access, although I believe the local bus service is good we didn't fancy trying this with two small children.
Downsides- if the beach is your thing this isn't the place for you, it's not a white sand idyll but quite stony. Secondly, the walls in the accommodation were quite thin, and noise from the foyer/ stairs of the accommodation block would echo into the rooms so again, if your a light sleeper perhaps look elsewhere. Music from the main hotel entertainment usually stopped at around midnight at the latest, but our kids were well asleep by this point so was not so loud as to disturb them!
Would I return? Probably when my kids are a little older and can take full advantage of all the facilities on offer, they used only 2 or 3 slides and are too young for kiddy clubs etc. there was quite a bit of building work going on in the local area( not noisy or at all affecting our holiday) so will probably be even better in a few years if there is more to do outside of the hotel, shops etc.

We stayed at this hotel may 16th -27th...hotel is lovely..clean and big but hardly any staff spoke any english ! Arrived at 5am and our daughters sofa bed wasnt made...got blankets but they were itchy so asked for a duvet which we had on other 2 beds. Took a week to get a duvet even when we were asking the thomson reps ! Food not so good always chicken, pasta, chips and bread ! Entertainment was horrendous but as we were with a group just laughed at it...people miming to songs with a cardboard cutout guitar ! The new eftalia island over the beach was fab still got food, drinks and icecream and felt like we were away from rude staff and russians and germans in the hotel ! This hotel definitely caters more for russian and german guests...there was no kids clubs for english and it seemed if you were english they didnt want to know! Maids only cleaned room afew times durning our stay..often hadnt left any clean towels so took us hour to try and explain to reception what we needed! Went into alanya cost us 65 lira each way (there was 6 adults 6 kids). Small bazaar 5 min walk away... we brought alot of guy in shop in hotel...he was lovely and gave us a good price..I often went to supermarket to get milk as milk in hotel was foul and kept mine in fridge in room. Definitely take your own teabags if your a tea drinker ! Alchoal was crap so didnt really drink had afew shandys not a great selection or far to strong! All in all a good holiday but hotel needs to have more english speaking staff and information on whats happening day to day as you cant seem to ask anyone !

12 of us from the UK came here following advice from a mate who had been here the year before...he claimed it was great..we on the other hand cannot say it was great. When we arrived most of us didn't have bed sheets on our bed which after a 5am arrival didn't phase us to much as we just wanted to sleep..but when u have to keep asking for fresh ones to be put on your bed and you don't start getting them till 4 days into your stay that's inexcusable! There was never any drinks in our fridge but yet the other two families we went with did..it's like they get to your door and have run out of drinks, linen or towels and say "ah well..maybe tomorrow" and tomorrow never comes.. till day 8 when they finally start giving us drinks but forget about the four towels a family of four would need since day 1..two towels for 2 adults and 2 kids to share.shockin! If you are English they haven't got a clue what your saying but they do speak German polish Russian very well which kinda makes you feel inadequate..but hey your on holiday so enjoy it..hotel and pools are decent, didn't go much on the food but there is a lot of choice (mainly pasta) oh and if you've been brought up with manners throw that out the window coz when it comes to queuing the non British holiday maker's don't understand " Oi mate there's a line" they just barge in where they want..other than that turkey is a great place and I would recommend it as a place to visit just not this hotel

Got back this morning from a grueling flight but it was worth it to have spent a fab week in the resort. Hotel was spotless, room was superb, pools and walkways etc cleaned every night without fail.
Meals were a bit of a squashed noisy affair at times but once you discover the quiet areas to eat at dinner ,breakfast and tea time its not that big an issue.Loads of Russians,Poles,Germans,Dutch,Finns,Turks,Brits,Arabs....you name it we all got into the act and it was just the way it is.Busy meal times ,bit miserable bar staff in the restaurant tbh but that's after some v rude visitors making demands and never saying thanks which I found puzzling as they were all on holiday so where and why they forgot to say please and thank you is a mystery? But cannot fault the water parks, never a queue of more than 2 or 3 minutes. Snack bars kept open for food, a la carte Chinese was an outstanding night. Did not see one person fall ill , hand sanitisers and automated hand washing facilities every where you look.
The only downer all week was the rude woman on guest relations in the aqua park hotel.Unfortunately she acted most unprofessionally to me and my wife/kids.I went to the hotel manager to discuss and she soon started back peddling for a short while but still managed to put a blot on the week with her poor approach and continued justifications for her frankly poor customer service. But no big deal, she will be found out soon enough as the management don't miss much. Kids loved it and we did too . Would go again tomorrow if I could (but avoid/ignore the German/Australian sounding lady on customer relations if you know what I mean). Room ready when we arrived at 4 a.m, use of all facilities is free even after you check out in the afternoon, free air con, free towels for the beach, free sun beds, free water parks, fantastic food,no tummy bugs, free mini bar in room, hotel spotless, quiet areas if wanted, animation team also available if you want that from a holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a family room in the annexe, they have a second bedroom which was a godsend . Always pay in...
