“Fantastic resort with lovely staff. ”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

I've already left my review further down the page but wanted to leave a small tip. If you're staying in the family rooms you can pull out the sofa (it sort of slides out) and underneath there are lovely warm duvets.
We were all cold at night because of the air con but too warm if we switched it off. But with the duvets on it was lovely.
The maids put covers on them for us. :)

For those of you who have booked then looked .... Don't be too put off!
We have done cheap (and not good) to uber lovely (Riveria Maya)... All inclusives
This one was far better than expected so go with an open mind...
We found the staff friendly enough when shown some courtesy, the food is freshly cooked for the most part, at two stations. And for the volume of people they cater for really good!
The Hotel water park is good but 'the Island' was great fun and the kids (11&13) loved it!!
It's all very clean, no matter the time of day they are busy making sure its clean and tidy.
The spa should be visited especially Turkish bath, great experience for us both, just watch for enthusiastic sales persons ..
Job done for us :-) The down sides...
Other nationalities can be seen as rude and unpolite but keep in mind our cultures and expectations are different. The main restaurant is a little intimidating at first, bit like a massive canteen where everyone does there own thing, so we did... (No-one to show you the first day what to do). The evening entertainment.... Hmmm great up to the age of about 7...
Cocktails, fresh orange juice, are extra and limited mini bar.
For a week a way great choice - thanks to all the staff for all their efforts.

Wow, forget all the bad reviews, we had a fantastic holiday. Hotel very clean, all staff very friendly, if you are nice to them they will be nice to you, remember they have very limited English. Hotel room very nice, mini bar topped up ocassionally plenty of bottled water in bars and restaurant .We had a side sea view which did look onto waste land but this is tipical of Turkish scenery.
We found the foreigners were not as rude as people have said on here ,we quite liked being around them, In fact it was the British that embarrassed us, rude and loud.
The pools and slides are great at the hotel plenty of sunbeds. Snack bars and 24 hr burger bar, ice creams and cakes all day . The main attraction is the new Eftalia island shared with 3 other eftalia hotels on the beach front via an underpass, this is only a year old. Bars ,snack bars, ice creams, a la carte restaurants ,swimming pools, kids mini aqua park and more big slides, shops and an amphitheatre with entertainment at night, sunbeds. All drinks and snacks all included on beach. You must go to the beach party on a Wednesday night good for all ages with fire breathing and a big foam party. You can visit the local bizzare this is a 10 min walk from hotel up a dirt track or you can catch a tractor &trailer from outside the hotel to take you there. We took the dolmus to Alanya took 25mins very busy only visited once as too much to do around the hotel.
The only downside was the restaurant and drinks. The food was lovely plenty of choice for everyone but you felt it was feeding time at the zoo not a relaxing meal. Drinks Choice very limited all soft drinks available but only beer, wine red/white, vodka, whiskey available in day and night their version of baileys but only available in hotel not beach. Entertainment in hotel not brilliant but tipical of Turkey better in amphitheatre on beach, not sure about kids entertainment as our children are too old.
To sum it all up you will have a fab holiday if you are used to Turkey . If you Brits want a fry up, every won speaking English and cheesy entertainment like bingo and karaoke go to Benidorm.

This hotel was luxurious. We travelled with 4 children, two teenage girls and 11 and 7 year old girls. There was something to do for everyone. The slides were great, pool scene amazing, entertainment team so friendly. Rooms were spacious. Restaurant served good food but was extremely busy, although the kebab snack bar was lovely. Such a large site it meant that the teens could have their independence within the resort. Met some lovely people and the weather was amazing. Shops on site were good and meant that we never left the hotel. Beach is adequate, albeit on the small side. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent aqua park with beach access, beach beds, private sun loungers, water slides for 10+ , kids pools with fun equipment areas for 1-5, 5-9 yrs. keeps kids entertained 6 hrs at a go day in day out!
Icecream parlour overworked as it Is all inclusive
Aqau park serves lunches so you don't have to run to the hotel dinning area as part of all inclusive
Rooms are basic -family of four would get a double bed , a single bed, a sofa converted single bed (acceptable for a 3-6 yr old)
Shampoo, bar soap, shower cap & cotton buds provided, but no cream.
The air condition works well, but you only get a blanket to cover yourselves so it can get chilly at night
The dinning room in chaotic as it turns around 1500 people at full occupancy. Be prepared to go treasure hunting for cutlery for a few minutes every day.
Salads soups and desserts are good. The hot main meals didn't appeal as much.
Night entertainment mainly catered for Non ENGLISH speaking.
Staff friendly but not fluent in English especially the house keeping staff. Asking for an extra towel for our family of four in a room where skywards three towels were kept was not easy.
A safe is provided in each room.
The bedroom mini bar free first refill only has 2 bottled beers , 2 cola bottles and 2 fanta bottles and that too only refilled on your second day of stay.
The spa is a must visit for a Turkish bath and massage. Sezgin is a good masseur!
Resort pool area has slippery tiles. Extreme caution with choice of footwear worn to avoid slipping even when walking cautiously.

We arrived late at night and were disappointed not to get into our room for over an hour as the rather miserable head guy on reception could not deal with more than a couple of people and he said he had 10 to deal with. Whilst we were waiting a lady dropped a full tray of drinks over a marble floor which was rather a comedy of errors watching it being cleared away. It's a wonder no one broke a bone as a few almost slipped on the debris.
When we finally got into the room we had no toilet rolls and 1 or 2 towels between 5 of us. We found the towel situation to be a problem all week as they never left enough. The room was dirty which I complained about as we had to wash our feet after walking on the floor as they were so dirty, we even found some trainers which had been left in the room - shame they were not our size. The room was cleaned the next day but only on the surface as under the bed was never touched all week
We had a family room which was a double and single in one room and a double in the other, these were a decent size, wardrobe space was ok but only 4 hanger for both rooms. A kettle was in the small area near the shower and toilet but nothing else such a cups or tea and coffee, we did request these but were never forthcoming so we took some cups from dining room and used our own tea and coffee.
We had two balcony's one for each bedroom but as we were a family we would have preferred just one balcony but we just moved chairs and made it work for us.
We did not enjoy the queues in the dining room or the children who were allowed to run around but there was plenty of food for all to choose and we always found something to eat although puddings not to out liking.
The main areas of the hotel seemed to be reasonably clean although with people sitting around in swimwear do not think it will be long before it is run down.
All inclusive options were good although no cocktails in the all inclusive which we usually have on all inclusive.
The pool area was good but many of the umbrellas were broken after just a few weeks of being open. A warning to non swimmers - the main pool is about 5' deep all over so if anyone under that size like I am be carefull, I can swim but could not play ball as could not tough the floor.
The main activity area was at the island which was reached by an underpass. This was good as you could chose if to go where the action is or not. My family enjoyed the slides over there to some activity rather than sat around a pool.
We went on a jeep safari to some waterfalls where you could swim in some of the clearest cold water, this was a great day out but we were the only English people. The tour was booked through Thomas Cook but was with a company called Shelock Holmes who were very good although the jeeps did get a little packed. If you go on this be prepared to get wet and dirty although you will have a great time.

I stayed at Eftalia Aqua from the 6th-13th of august 2014, just came back actualy and I thought it was a great hotel for people with Children. We went in a group of 21 age ranging from 1 years old to 70 years old. The hotel has a great pool area for all age groups,my son couldn't get enough of the swallow baby pool and the 6 water slides he was allowed on and he is only two and a half years old. The beach area is also amazing with all kinds of watery fun for all ages. The food wasn''t good but you could always find something to eat and it is just very convenient for people with many children to have an all inclusive resort, it makes things so much easier. A lot of people are not happy with the staff, but I never had any problem with them. All in all I would go back there to have a family vacation :)
