We spent 6 days in manali in a leisure tour. Just before the last day we visited manikaran and naggar castle as sight seen. After entering the castle i came to know that hptdc have made a pleasant staying arrangement here. We had booking with hotel beas(hptdc) and find no problem to transfer the booking to the castle. The staffs were generous. Food is too good. Rooms are nice and the view....... The only problem is if you book the ground floor suits your privacy might be hampered a bit because there are a lot of visitors visiting this place during daytime but the night is purely soundless before its dawn and you are welcome with the chirmp of different colourful birds.

Naggar castle is one of the best properties offered by HPTDC.
We stayed there as a couple during October 2013. The place is serene, far from the hustle and bustle of busy Manali. A perfect place to unwind with your loved one.
The view from the balcony restaurant is to die for. We spent hours on the restaurant sipping a cuppa or munching some crispy fried chicken
The food is very good, you will have variety of Indian and continental food. My reccomendation - Roast chicken and Tandoori Trout.
For room suggestion - go for River view and greenfield if you are a grou of 4, or else Chanderkhani, Tripurasundari and Castle View - If you are a group of 6.

Room Tip: For room suggestion - go for River view and greenfield if you are a grou of 4, or else Chanderkhani...

Was there with my family for three days, had a wonderful experience. The panaromic view is breathtaking and the Castle property is nice, clean and well maintained. The staff is very courteous and helpful with good delicious breakfast. Our room was possibly the best with own separate balcony / sit out place with superb view.

Visited in March'2013 with family and parents stayed at two rooms, Fozal Peak Suite and Baragarh Fort Suite. Two rooms are at one end of the castle, on different floors, one directly above another. Both rooms have private sitting area outside the room, with awesome view of the Beas valley and mountains.

The Castle is an architectural marvel with unique Himachali style. It was great experience to enjoy the property and the breathtaking view, the couple of days we stayed here.

Rooms are big, with average amenities. Staff helpful, but needs little persuasion, typical of Govt run place. Cleanliness / dusting has scope of improvement.

Bathroom was next to the road where tourist vehicles are parked. So some noise during the day.

The courtyard was great place for the kids to run around. Wooden work was a treat for the eyes.

Food was very good and we enjoyed a lot.
