“A Pure Getaway”

We've been to the hotel on a number of occasions. Rarely do you find a hotel with chic decor and still a traditional twist. The staff were great and the accommodation really is great and a must for people looking for relaxation. The standard of the rooms were superb. The lounge and the bar were comfortable, the grounds really super. The terrace is well thought out. Food was good and it was nice to eat and watch the guys in the kitchen at the same time. Would be great to have a bit of really fine dining but overall the experience was just what we had expected it would be. Well done!!!

We booked the hotel as we'd been invited to a special friend's 60th birthday lunch which was being held at the hotel and seeing as the hotel was approximately 90 miles from home we decided to stay there. From the moment we drove along the drive and saw the beautiful grounds the hotel was located in and then when we set foot inside the hotel we were treated really well. The luncheon was in a private room and the food was excellent and the serving staff were fantastic, very discreet. The decor of the hotel was a mixture of old and new. The bedroom we had on the first floor overlooked the grounds, it was such a pretty view. The bed was so comfortable. I love the clear lampshades and the lovely staircase from the reception up to the first floor, great for photographs. I was hoping to wake up early and maybe see some wildlife on the grass lawn but sadly it was a pea souper of fog so we couldn't see anything.....!!!!!!!!
I would definitely recommend the hotel to my friends. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and so special.

Room Tip: Ask for room number 5, it overlooks the grounds and has a beautiful view.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for my birthday, we booked this last minute and explained it was a birthday treat, the girl on reception then upgraded us for free to the Principle Room 1 free of charge. Throughout our entire stay the staff were excellent and very attentive. We ate in the restaurant and the staff had remembered it was my birthday and wrote a birthday message in chocolate sauce on my desert with many of them wishing me happy birthday personally, this was with no cue from my girlfriend.

The room was brilliant, super king bed, bath in the middle of the room and it was perfect.

Overall an excellent night. Would highly recommend this place.

I have eaten at Milsom's Kesgrave Hall many times but never stayed until recently. What a treat !! It was one of the most relaxing evenings I have had for a long time. The room was lovely and spacious and it was only a superior room so I can only imagine how good the others are. I have to make a special note of the size of the bath ....on a friday night after week at work it was bliss to lie out full stretch ( I am 5ft 10") in a lovely hot bath before dinner. Thank you, we will definitely be staying again.

We booked Kesgrave Hall to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we were looking for a smallish hotel in the region so that we could visit Minsmere RSPB site. We found Milsom Kesgrave Hall on the Mr & Mr Smith site, they are no longer connected - not sure why.

The first sight of the hotel as you come down the drive does not disappoint, in fact the pictures don't do it justice - the grounds and buildings are really beautiful and very well looked after.

We were shown to our room which was in the grounds of the hotel rather than the main building, an added bonus as far as I am concerned (less chance of noise from rooms above or next door). The room was spacious with excellent facilities (flat screen tv, minibar, tea & coffee etc) and a huge bathroom with both shower and free standing bath.

As part of the Mr & Mrs Smith booking we were entitled to a bottle of champagne, despite Mr & Mrs Smith no longer being connected to Kesgrave Hall this was provided - a bottle of Moet & Chandon no less, we were impressed!

We ate in the restaurant on our first night, both the food and the service were excellent, my husband had the Hangar steak which was sublime and I had the partridge (inc a piece of shot which I was actually really excited about!). We then retired to the lounge area with a bottle of wine - the choice of wine at Kesgrave is excellent.

Breakfast the following morning was very good, the service was speedy and I struggled my way through possibly the largest bacon sandwhich I have ever seen.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kesgrave Hall, the staff (who were all pretty young) were very helpful and friendly and really couldn't do enough for us, including providing toothpaste for us (we always forget something!). We had a great weekend and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel and restaurant.

Room Tip: We liked the 'outside' rooms, no noise from other visitors.

We stayed at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary in September this year and had a wonderful night's stay. Our room was amazing, with a huge bed, excellent air con, funky sofa, flat screen tv, huge bathroom with lovely walk in shower. The only disappointment was the view over the rear of the kitchens and Hangar area but someone has to look that way.

The food and drinks were all superb and breakfast in the morning was lovely.

First visit to Kesgrave, have stayed at Maison Talbooth before, so this visit had a lot to live up to. It didn't disappoint. Beautiful location, fabulous drive and approach to the property, grounds were immaculate, prompt service to check in and obtain key for room, we had a suite which was excellent, nice furnishings, good spacious bathroom, all the luxurious finishes you could want. We definitely would visit again. The only fly in the ointment was the quality of the dinner in the restaurant, which was lower than I had expected, more than edible, but not in keeping with the overall high standard received in the rest of the property. It was a saturday night, it was extremely busy, although these should not be reasons to experience a lesser standard of food quality.

Room Tip: upgrade if you can, its well worth it
