We stayed here on a Saturday night on a Summer Sizzler from offpeakluxury.com.The hotel had made a mistake and given us a standard instead of a superior room but after an email from offpeakluxury.com we were upgraded to a suite. Our room - 2 was large and overlooked the lawn at the front of the hotel, it had everything you need with a good shower plus separate bath ( freestanding in the bedroom!)
The weather was excellent and we were able to have our meal outside and also breakfast the next morning overlooking the lovely grounds. Both meals were very good and the breakfast was huge with fresh local ingredients and freshly squeezed orange juice. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful and would certainly return.

We chose this hotel for an anniversary treat as had eaten here before and was impressed. We arrived late-about 7pm and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who could not have been more welcoming. She upgraded us to the best room in the house on hearing that it was a special occasion. The room was exceptional- clean, lovely interior design, very comfortable bed, a bath in the room and a good shower.
The meal was perfect and the grounds ensure it is a lovely setting. The price indicates it is a treat staying here but start saving for this one because it is well worth it.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the grounds in the morning-great view

This is the third time we have stayed at Kesgrave Hall - we went for my thirtieth and loved it so much we now go as a treat once a year to get away from it all. The staff are so friendly, the place is immaculate and just beautiful. The food is lovely, and the rooms are simple and elegant.
The rooms in the main house can be a little warm and slightly noisy at night. The friday night "summer sizzler" stay is good value and includes an evening meal and a huge breakfast the next day. We have always been automatically upgraded, and the rooms are superb.
Take your croquet kit or a football for the children!

Room Tip: The rooms in converted outhouses are quieter and just as luxurious. Plus the more luxurious have air...

My husband and I stayed in April this year. We had a lovely time. It was a break away from our young girls and although we only stayed one night we felt very rested.

We arrived for lunch and had a lovely meal. We had room 2, which is everything you could want. Dinner was very good. We were still pretty full from lunch, so had a few light bites and a lovely bottle of wine.

We didn't want to rush for breakfast so instead had brunch before left at 11. Great egg benedict and fresh orange juice.

Staff were great and couldn't do enough. Restaurant had a great buzz about it.

All in all would highly recommend.

My wife and I recently stayed here as we were attending a family wedding in Ipswich.

Having viewed recent TA reviews, we opted to stay here and were certainly not disappointed. As the title suggests, we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere so much that we decided to stay an extra night. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, modern and as one would expect, immaculately clean. Due to our extended stay we enjoyed rooms in both the hotel (room 4) overlooking the gardens and in the more private and secluded courtyard (room 19). I find it incredibly difficult to be able to recommend one above the other as both rooms were fantastic.

The food and wine is produced to a very high standard yet, and unlike other hotels, quite reasonably priced.

My wife and I took advantage of a dinner bed & breakfast deal that was on offer at the time, I would wholeheartedly recommend this to fellow travelers (if it is still available) as it is very good value for money.

I would, without hesitation recommend this establishment to friends.
