We only managed to stay one night, the room wasn't big but tastefully furnished, comfortable and maintened to a high standard, Breakfast was relaxing and most enjoyable. We didn't get the chance to use the facilities unfortunately so cannot comment.

first visit to Kesgrave although we have eaten and stayed at other Milsoms properties. We booked a one night stay in the family suite (Room 16) and on arrival were struck by how familiar Kesgrave seemed - such is the Milsoms look. The room was great for a family - central hall with good sized rooms either side (a good sized double for us and a single bed and travel cot in what would have been the lounge). Only minor criticism is that there is not a lot of natural light in the suite (the only windows overlooking the main building behind and not the grounds to the front) and the decor is quite plain compared to some of the glitzier looking rooms in the hotel.

The kids ate early (and were made to feel incredibly welcome by the staff) and we then settled them and eat in the restaurant later on - by which time is was packed and buzzy. Food, as always at Milsoms was interesting and of good quality - there were any number of things on the menu that we would have liked to choose - maybe next time!

Breakfast was ideal - good buffet spread well suited to both children and adults alike.

All in all a very relaxing enjoyable weekend break. The staff were consistently courteous and efficient and made the children feel as if they were important guests in the their own right. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kesgrave Hall for a weekend break and i am sure we will return.

Room Tip: Room 16 is a good family suite

And have stayed many times also for meals and special occasions.
The rooms are very lovely with huge bathrooms and the staff attentive and helpful
Very friendly and highly recommended in an area not renown for its fine dining!

We have stayed at Kesgrave Hall before and each time we return the standards are always maintained which in business is one of the hardest things to get right always consistent !
We usually stay in room No1 or 2 very large wonderful high ceilings lots of light, great decor bath tub in centre of room large wet room etc as these were taken.
Kaleigh at reception took us to have a look at room 10 not as big but wonderful wet room bath tub in centre of room great decor robes etc unbelievable value at £85 per head including Dinner anything from the Menu I went for Veal T-Bone never had before fantastic scallops to start amazing value for money,so much so we opted for afternoon tea with a glass of Champagne our waitress Sam very friendly but also very professional the restaurant Manager introduced himself as a friend had arranged a bottle of Champagne as a surprise.
Some hotels really try to get the very last pound off you, here the opposite free Wi-Fi all water & soft drinks from mini bar Complimentary.
The Whole Team at Kesgrave Hall should be congratulated this is the standard all hotels should aspire to !!!

Room Tip: For a Special treat try rooms 1 or 2 really amazing !

We have stayed at Milsoms Kesgrave before in a standard suite, and were happy, but not overly impressed.

This time, we couldn't have been happier with the room and service from the staff.

We had arrived on 6th October for lunch before we were due to head off to Seckford Hall in Woodbridge for a couple of nights. Enjoyed a fabulous lunch on the terrace, and left for Seckford Hall around 3pm.

... 60 minutes later, we return to Milsoms! Unfortunately, our first choice of accommodation was no where near up to scratch, so we decided to leave as we were not going to spend money they were asking for, on a run down and dirty room.

We turned up, red faced and distraught having had to leave Seckford (it was our anniversary weekend - and it took us months to plan!) and asked if they had any nice rooms left. We ended up in their honeymoon suite, and they were kind enough to do us a last minute deal.

The room was huge, and we truly felt spoilt. The staff were sympathetic, and very helpful - we couldn't thank them enough.

We always come for lunches/dinners, and will definitely be back soon.

Room Tip: Room 2 is the suite we had - beautiful room with a free standing bath tub in the room and a shower...

I stayed 1 night in this hotel on business and could not have been happier. The rooms are decorated with great style and the facilities in the room are excellent. The toiletries in the bathroom coupled with the complimentary minibar enhance the stay. The menu for dinner offers an outstanding choice of locally sourced food which is presented superbly on the plate. Breakfast was a real joy and the whole atmosphere in this hotel is a combination of style and professionalism. I recommend Kesgrave Hall without reservation.

We were invited to a Christmas Dinner dance and decided to stay too so I'll review in two parts...

Christmas dinner dance
At the back of the hotel there was what looked like a marquee, it is in fact a permanent building with a small marquee entrance. Once inside a very well presented typical 'ball layout' with about twenty tables of ten. Natty Perspex chairs, high quality table wear and great ambiance due to a huge star cloth covering the whole ceiling and contemporary led (stage) lighting. Fab. Good meal considering numbers, only thing short of great was a long prepared cheese plate that was well into starting to dry and celery starting to go soft. All ten of our party where pleased with their meals. Music was by a local group called Frisky, a regular gig for them, had us dancing all night, great. Bar was fine, good service and adequate selection. Staff all super, possible exception was a manager type who started clearing tables with a bin liner thirty minutes before the end - not cool. Equally as uncool was putting paper mâché pea shooters on the tables, don't get me wrong I like a laugh but ladies being hit by various numb nuts from the works do's on the next tables wore thin after an hour, especially when real food started as ammo. On the whole the best Christmas party night I've attended, a great space, nice meal and we danced all night - thoroughly recommended.

Stay
Fantastic. Lovely lady on reception showed us to our room, we had a large room with big shower space and great-fun bath in the living area. We had room 10, which we were very pleased with. Only downside is it's right next to kitchen extractor fan noise so windows need/ought to stay closed. There is air con/ heating in room but there was no power to it. We had to open the window and put up with the noise. Our family members across the hall on the front of the hotel (room 11) had perfect silence. Complimentary soft drinks in minibar is a nice touch. TV system only partially worked, free view was fine, the sky feed was frozen on each of the channels, we listened to music on free view as the iPod/iPhone Dock clock radio had the old style connector. Bed and linen superb. Breakfast was very good. All staff encountered were great.

A hotel that has invested heavily in high quality fixtures and it pays off. Very pleasant, impressed with our first visit and will return...
