... But might be fun if it was nice enough to sit outside. Inside was cramped rather than cosy. Coffee was very good.

“Lovely outdoor seating area overlooking small river”
Reviewed 23 August 2013 via mobile

Came here by accident as could not park in nearby Bourton on the Water. Stopped at this cafe in idyllic setting of old water mill. Food & service were great. Enjoyed sitting outside on warm summers day. Perfect!

“Oasis of calm”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

Stopped here for tea and toasted teacake on our walk from Bourton on the Water to Stow on the Wold. So pleasant sitting by the river watching the ducks that was almost tempted to abandon the walk and spend the afternoon there! Great tea, super teacake, friendly staff. Will definitely return when next in the area.

A walk beside the river brings you to the mill shop and inside the lovely river cafe. We chose to sit outside and were provided with cushions by the thoughtful owner. A good range of light lunches of good value. We chose a delightful ploughmans which came with a variety of cheese, meats and salad, and were entertained by the ducks and the fifties jazz in the background. A treat, note cash only .

“One of the best!”
Reviewed 5 July 2013

Me and my girlfriend stopped here after a taking the dog for a stroll nearby. We had tea and cake which was lovely, next time we will stop for a light lunch. What a lovely little hidden Gem! And they gave Snoopy a dog treat so he also wants to come back.
