I stayed here for 3 nights while working nearby. Very friendly place it really felt like I was welcomed into a home rather than a business. Great few days, evenings a perfect contrast after a busy stressful day.

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night after attending menu and wine tasting at South Farm for our wedding. This B&B is a lovely family run home, very friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size, comfortable double bed. It was cold that day but the small electric heater in our room was perfect to give an extra boost of warmth. If you love character cottages with gorgeous beams and wonky floors (only in the en suite-not an issue at all!) this is perfect! Breakfast in the morning was gorgeous and the whole family were very friendly. Lynette's son gave us a lift and picked us up from south farm which was brilliant. Definitely recommending this for friends and family to stay on our wedding night!

I stayed here with my husband and friends for a wedding at South Farm in April. We found the rooms very spacious and comfortable and loved the beautiful location of the B&B. The breakfast was really great too!

Like many others we chose to stay at this B&B as we were going to a wedding at South Farm. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom with French windows. There was a lovely log fire burning when we arrived, which was most welcoming, as it was a rather cold and dark April evening when we arrived. The family dogs were in other rooms most of the time, but were friendly and lovely, just like their owners and family. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back again.

We stayed at College Farm as we were attending a wedding at nearby South Farm. The house is gorgeous with lots of character. Our room was very comfortable and a generous size. Best of all, the owners were kind enough to drive us to and from the wedding venue (even picking us up at midnight) for a very reasonable £10 each way. We slept like logs and were made to feel very welcome and at home. The breakfast was delicious too! We would highly recommend this B&B.

We have just returned from a long weekend at College Farm and could not have been made to feel more welcome or comfortable. Lynette is a lovely friendly lady (husband and children also friendly and helpful). We stayed with our 2 year old so had a few extra requirements (like storing and heating milk at slightly awkward hours), none of which were a problem for the owners. The house is very beautiful and full of character and the front garden was a great place for our little boy to explore with its apple trees and flowers. There is a pond with huge fish which was a source of fascination so he did need supervision, but other than that the whole place felt very safe and peaceful (yes the cat has a loud miaow and the owls screeched, but if you like the country that just adds to the experience in my opinion). We are not especially dog-lovers but we didnt find the dogs a problem at all. Our double room was very large and even with a travel cot in it, still felt very roomy. Plenty of room to spread the toys out! Our en-suite had a very good shower rather than a bath, but Lynette let us use the bath in another unoccupied suite for our toddler (my fault for not checking whether our room had a bath when booking). As others have already commented, the breakfast was delicious and not to be missed. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who likes good breakfasts and old houses.

We stayed at College farm for the first time a couple of weeks ago while attending a wedding at South Farm, and then stayed for a couple of days to do some sight seeing.

The owners were very accomodating letting us check in early to get ready for the wedding, the owners daughter gave us a lift to the wedding venue and then picked us up again after for a small charge, this was a great service that was very much appreciated.

The room we stayed in was beautiful with a gorgeous old fireplace, which we were told is often lit in the winter, although being that we stayed mid july, we really didnt need to. There were wooden floors and old beams. There was an ensuite shower room, this wasnt a big room but it did as was needed. We were on the ground floor and there were french doors out which we had open being that it was a nice day. The only negative to this room was that in the morning to get to the breakfast room there is no through route inside, you have to exit the room and walk around the outside of the house to the front door and into the breakfast room. this however was no problem as the weather was pleasent, there were umberellas provided had it been raining. Again the breakfast/sitting room had another huge gorgeous fireplace that would be lovely on a cold winters eve.

Breakfast itself was superb, we were given the choice of cereal, fruit salad, yogurt and home grown rhubarb and full english breakfast (or all if we so wished). Over the couple of days we stayed at the B&b myself and my partner tried all but the cereal, all was delicious and we were told that the eggs, bacon and sausages were all 'home grown', The owners said we were welcome to visit the current pigs in the garden, but after eating their friends we declined.

We stayed for a couple of days following the wedding to do some sight seeing while we were in the area. The b&B was about a 20 min drive to Cambridge and 5ish mins to Wimpole Hall. The owners were very helpful in recomending some places to see and places to eat nearby.

One evening was lovely and sunny and we sat in the beautiful front garden which has a small orchard and a real country cottage feel, there was also a pond with some huge fish. Talking of huge animals, we met the owners great dane who looked terrifing but was the biggest softy.

All in all our stay was wonderful, should we ever be back in this area i wouldnt hesitate to return to College Farm, hopefully in the winter when we can light the beautiful fires!

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the huge fireplace.
