Was looking forward to trying The Belle for the first time. The menu was limited I chose the modules frites and was then told that the mussels weren’t opening when cooked so had been taken off, not a problem at least they were honest. I then chose the monkfish scampi - wish I hadn’t very disappointed - more like monkfish in breadcrumbs and the pieces were far too big. Should not be called scampi on the menu - as was expecting scampi sized pieces. Salad with it had honey and mustard dressing on it ok if you like mustard I don’t should have been served separately. Also was served with puréed peas when I asked if I could have ordinary peas, they did not do them! Not sure at this stage whether will be returning.

Visited here last week with my partner and will definitely be returning! Customer service was great, extremely polite and welcoming. The food really was spot on, nothing bad to say, was cooked and presented perfectly. Will 100% recommend if you want great food and professional, friendly customer service. Also would like to add that the chips are amazing, as you can see in the picture these are the real deal!

We popped in for a burger & fries when we didn't feel like cooking, having spent the day in the garden. We sat in the casual dining area, where there was one other table in use. We asked to see the wine list, and ordered a bottle of white wine. After about five minutes the waitress came back and apologised that the particular wine wasn't in stock. She then added that many of the wines listed weren't either, indicating a couple that she knew they did have, one of which we chose.
When the menus were brought to the table, they were on a number of different sized clipboards and were all quite scruffy. We both ordered the Belle Burger with cheese. This took about 25 minutes to arrive, (which was surprising as there didn't seem to be too many orders coming out of the kitchen). The burgers were nicely presented, accompanied by a salad garnish & fries, but the overall portion was quite small. In summary, there was nothing wrong with our experience, but everything was just about okay but not great.

Visited for the first time last night with family and can highly recommend this restaurant. Premises fresh and modern, food excellent and staff friendly and attentive. Bar menu is great for casual and cheaper options but we chose to sit it the dining area and order from the main evening menu. Great choice and quality and quantity of food was superb. The bill was £150 for four people but we had 3 courses, extra sides, coffees, soft drinks and two bottles of wine.! Considering the fabulous food, staff and setting more than happy with the price. Will definitely be going again. One word of warning, they don’t serve a full menu every evening so check first if you want the whole dining experience.!

We visited the Belle for food twice over the Easter weekend. Friday night with friends for a ‘quick’ fish and chips and Easter Sunday for a roast and the food was excellent on both occasions. The fish and chips were delicious and even though we probably well outstayed our welcome, (staying very late!) the staff were lovely. Despite the power cut on Sunday the staff were very efficient. Inevitably we were seated a little later than booked, but we were more than happy to have a drink at the bar until the power returned. The roast was simply delicious. My lamb was so tender and beautifully cooked as were the other meats ordered by the rest of our table. A lot of happy plates!
