“Not Worth the price.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 February 2014

We stayed here for three nights. Our room was almost $300 a night and included breakfast. The room was comfortable, but starting to show its age, and was certainly nothing spectacular. When we checked in, we realised that most people staying there were on some sort of all-inclusive package. Maybe that would have been a better option had we known about it.

The main draw for staying here is that it is within 15 minutes of two good ski areas, but unfortunately, there's nothing within walking distance of the hotel. So, you're either eating at the hotel or driving.

One thing that really got on my nerves was the swimming pool. The swimming pool was part of their "Spa" area. What did this mean? It meant that you had to spend an extra 15 euros per adult guest and 10 euros per child each time you wanted to go for a swim! Nothing was mentions about that when the reservation was made! And that price does not include any spa services, just a dip in the pool. What a rip-off! Shouldn't my $300 a night be enough to get me in the pool! I could not believe they had the gall to try to charge my family 50 euros to go swimming. Because of this, I have to rate this hotel poor. Instead of getting greased by the hotel, we drove about thirty minutes to a natural hot spring that has been used since Ancient Roman times. I cost 4 euros and was super cool.

If you want to ski La Molina, by all means do, but don't stay here. I think you can find a better deal elsewhere.

We stayed a weekend of january'14, via Smartbox. Everything was ok and people of the hotel was kind and servicial. We had breakfast, lunch and supper there. FOOD very good. SPA very nice and quiet (we took profit of the mornings, because most of people was skying). MASSAGE: very good. Ask for Abril. A good proffessional, and a kind person. WIFI: Very bad. I paid for the Extra WIFI but I had very bad quality in room and in other parts of hotel.

We stayed here in febuary 2013 and have to say it was an excellent hotel, we stayed for 4 nights b&b the breakfast itself was buffet style and very good as was the evening meals. The rooms were clean and tidy and the spa complex pool was excellent the only gripe I had was the spa was not in with the cost of the hotel and at 15 euro each was expensive so only used it once. The hotel was only a couple of minutes drive to the ski resort so having a car was a bonus and the hotel had ample parking across the road. Our hotel room was right at the entrance to the lift and stairs so some nights it got a bit noisy with people traffic but all in all a great hotel and friendly staff would definatley stay there again.

Our staying was fantastic. We only stay for one night but we enjoyed a lot. We booked a romantic pack and we had a special dinner in a reservated place in the restaurant. Our waiter, called Pablo, was very nice and attentive. Before having dinner we went to the spa, which was very cozy and complete. The best hour to go is in the midnight because there are no many people and you can see the snow outdoor. Our room was complete and confortable and we had a welcome detail because of the romantic pack. It had views to the snowed mountain, it is a brilliant way to wake up!
Obviously we are going to repeat.

Room Tip: I loved the 4th floor.

Hotel Situation unique BUT:
WIFI not everywhere, neither in Rooms...
ONLY Buffet Dinner...
SPA with cold water and Sauna/Turkish Bath NOT on all the time or out of Service...
FOOD 3rd class for the Price not worth...
STAFF tries hard but NO real Management - so simply a No Go...
ALL in ALL for what it costs - far too expensive - not to much recomendable...
A typical Northern/Catalan Spanish "get the most money out of not much"...

Room Tip: Take the cheapest, its anyway not much different the one to the other...

Great. Very close to the ski resort, although a car is ideally needed, but 5 minute drive to the slopes away. Hotel staff were lovely, really friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the steam room was out of service when we visited and our "double" bed was two singles pushed together so we ended up snuggling up on one side. Otherwise, the hotel is really nice, fried breakfast buffet, or cereal/pastries/toast and spreads available. Buffet dinner was OK (the chicken was really good) although a tad on the pricey side for 19 euros, (what do you expect for a 4* hotel though) although we later found out a restaurant service was also available if you would prefer - didn't try the food here. Massage was lovely and spa was a great treat after a day on the slopes. We also went horse riding (the hotel can arrange this for you) for less than 20 euros per hour which was a great experience, just a 20 minute drive away. I would defiantly stay here again.

Room Tip: Try asking for a double bed and you might get one, but if you don't you'll probably have 2 s...
