Myself and my husband went to this little shop/coffee shop for lunch having seen it advertised. The cookery shop was a lot smaller than expected. We decided to have a look at the menu and I chose the open chicken sandwich with homemade chutney, salad and coleslaw. It was a big enough sandwich. The chutney had been put on top of the sandwich and to be honest it was pretty tasteless , so it should be put on the side as it did spoil the taste of the chicken. My other half had the salmon bagel which he said was very tasty. The waitress forgot to bring the coffee until we were nearly finished with the food and at 24 euro I don't think we will be rushing back here.

We've been regulars here for scones, soupl and sandwiches for a long time. Hadn't been in since the revamp and were delighted to find a chef and hot food added to the experience. The team have managed to keep the friendly country cafe ambience but the new hot food menu, with its daily changing hot specials, has turned Sage and Stone into a destination lunch joint for locals and those coming from further afield. Prices are competitive, quality suberb, the staff as friendly, helpful and "can do" as ever. Even on the busy market day service was efficient and food fresh despite the level of pressure there must have been on brand new staff. Off there now to check out the new brunch menu!

Sage & Stone has just had a beautiful refit in a very short space of time, they have managed to retain its charm while extending in size, beautiful homemade cakes on view now to entice us all. Lovely fresh open sandwiches a tad expensive but you can't fault the overall experience.

A great place to stop and grab a bite or just a cup of coffee. Great service from friendly staff and the food is excellent. Located just outside Duleek and near Drogheda, I stumbled upon Sage and Stone when I was in need of a quick caffeine fix. Plenty of parking space, outdoor seating, free wifi etc etc. What more would you need? Is now a regular stop when I am in the area. Check it out.
