The service was spectacular, our host was the owner of the restaurant - he was really friendly, charming, funny and made us feel really welcomed there.
I ordered moussaka and got the best moussaka I have ever eaten in Crete, straight from the oven. The dish was really big and totally worth the price (it was about 8 euros).
I really enjoyed that the menu had a bit of history of the tavern in it. Also worth mentioning that the olive oil and olives are all made and grown by them.
Overall we really enjoyed our visit there, the village is adorable, the restaurant was worth visiting, the staff there was friendly and our food was wonderful. I really recommend going to there if you want to taste traditional food and enjoy simple welcoming service.
