A perfect location for visiting the monasteries of Meteora. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We had a ground floor corner room with a balcony overlooking the garden which was lovely.

Only one very small criticism, the fixed to the wall hair dryer in the bathroom was too far away from the mirror.

The hotel is warm and welcoming at the end of a tiny winding road. It sits beneath the towering rock formations with great views from every room. My downstairs one had a private outdoor area and was lovely and cool. The standout though, is the service provided by the owner. I mentioned my bed was a bit hard (like most beds in Greece) and the next thing I know, my room had been made up with an extra soft mattress layer on top - much appreciated by my hip bones! The place is spotless, breakfast is good and it deserves to be number 1 in peaceful Kastraki.

Room Tip: Upstairs are more deluxe but downstairs are cooler with outdoor seating.

My wife and I stayed at the Pyrgos Adrachti for three nights and everything was a delight - from the beautiful and spacious rooms to the warm welcome and care of the young family who own and run the hotel. We came to Meteora for the world heritage value of the area and the Adrachti couldn't be any closer to this amazing location. You can almost touch these spectacular formations from your room and the monasteries are within easy reach of the hotel. The hosts provide great advice and help for travellers and are justifiably proud of the level of service, the amenity and comfort that they provide. You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

The hotel is situated at the foothills of the Meteora rock formations, and rooms open to a beautiful back garden with a most magnificent vista towering over it. It is a perfect location for visiting Meteora, at quiet Kastraki, away from the noise of the town center of Kalambaka, The rooms are impeccable, with warm wood paneling and comfortable beds, and the ones with a balcony towards the back yard offer a quiet place to reflect at nights, contemplating next day's ascent to the monasteries over you. Breakfast is ample and wholesome.

What makes this hotel special, as seen from other reviews, is the genuinely friendly and caring attitude of the owner. In our case, we were arriving very late at night and, when we called to tell him this, he drove to meet us in the center of Kalambaka so we could follow his car and find the hotel easy, since road paving in progress at the time would send us to various detours. Now, when we arrived at the hotel, one of our company asked if there was a place to get some ice cream, and she learned that everything was closed, because of the late time. Well, the owner said nothing, but, 15 min later, he knocked at our door carrying ice cream. Not just for one, for all four in our party. He had driven to the center of Kalambaka, found a place open and got ice cream to treat us.
Now, how many experiences like that you can have at a hotel? This is Hospitality with an H as tall as the Meteora rock formation

We spent two nights here in order to visit Meteora. It was such a good fit for the location. We looked out at the rock formations, we had a room that had clearly been designed with care and thoughtfulness and owners who helped direct our day.

On arrival we were greeted warmly by the propitiator who proceeded to take our luggage to our rooms. (There were 5 of us). Each room opened onto a beautiful garden with the most breathtaking view. The beds were clean and very comfortable after the hard beds of Athens. The bathrooms were also impeccable. The owner was very helpful providing information about the local monasteries and cafés. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our garden rooms were perfect, the end one having extra windows, therefore more of the spectacular v...

What a great hotel - we were spellbound from the moment we stepped foot in our room. Pyrgos Adrachti is situated in the small village of Kastraki, right at the foothills of Meteora. The hotel has a well stocked lobby bar and a spacious dining area for breakfast. The rooms are classy and tastefully furnished in warm wood and wrought iron furniture and have a wonderful fragrance. Our room had a large balcony that opened out to a large garden and had the most amazing view of Meteora. Reliable wireless Internet is available across the property. A wholesome breakfast is served each morning.

The owner, Koutis Thanasis, is so helpful and makes sure that each guest is well looked after. He personally drove us in the middle of the night to the hospital to attend to a medical emergency.

We enjoyed our stay in Kastraki and would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel to fellow travellers.
