The hotel is quite small and very cosy, situated very close to Meteora rocks. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and helpful, he told us all about the monasteries and recommended a few restaurants in the village. We were even given a choice of rooms when we arrived. We had a room on a ground floor with a terrace overlooking Metera rocks. Truly amazing place.
The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the train station and a short walk to the village. The way up from the village is quite steep though so be prepared. There is a free parking near hotel but if you don't have a car you will have to use taxis to go up to the monasteries (around 8-10 euro one way). The service was excellent and even when we had to leave early for out train the breakfast was ready at 7 so we would not miss it.
P.S. If you don't mind walking would recommend going down from Grand Meteora monastery to the village on foot. Takes about 1.5 hours but totally worth it! The views are breathtaking

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor have terrace right in front of Meteora

This hotel is located in Kastraki - a very small village with little going on, only three or four restaurants. It's important to know that because if you are going to be here without a car you should prepare to pay for taxis, walk some distance or eat at the same three restaurants.

That being said, this hotel is located in a very beautiful area, up the hill from Kastraki center, right underneath rock cliffs so that when you open your window you are directly in nature. The rooms are beautiful - the whole hotel and it's interior decoration is natural and well taken care of.

I must say that I am a solo traveller, and I came to this place to relax. It is a very quiet place. The owner was very kind to me but I do feel like he was more open to families and couples and seemed a bit surprised to see me by myself - more open to chatting, helping those in groups. I think this is
cultural though. I would still advertise this as a beautiful hotel, especially considering the fairly cheap price for such a beautiful place - but perhaps not the place for a solo traveller...

This hotel very close to the rocks of Meteora! Great rooms with a very nice king size bed. Breakfast very good with typical Greek things. The Greek yogurt is simply the best. The owner even picked us up when we couldn't find the place..

Room Tip: Room with a balcony with a awesome view!

this hotel has the greatest view to Meteora. We took the panoramic view and the balcony is right at the foot of the mountain. Also, they serve a great breakfast and the host was really nice.
Not far from a great bakery and good restaurants.

We LOVED our stay at Pyrgos Adrachti. It has to be the best location due to being set right against the rocks at the base of Meteora, which makes for a magnificent view. We rented a car and although it took us time to find it since it's set back a little, it was well worth it... We had the best room, it was on the ground floor with a balcony and had a full view of the rocks (versus the 2nd floor). The owner is warm and friendly when you take the time to chat... The lodge is super cozy for lounging and breakfast on the patio. And I will never forget napping and waking up to the view and birds chirping, and sitting outside at midnight on the balcony with wine, ouzo, the night stars, birds still going and those giant rocks towering into the sky... Can't wait to visit again!! I'm posting pictures:)

Room Tip: The ground floor room with balcony if you can get it!
