“Superb, yet again !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2013

One word, wow !!

This was our third visit and we couldn't have picked a better way to spend Christmas. This time, it was for a fantastic 2 weeks of heaven. Once again, all of the facilities were in excellent condition and the cleanliness was second to none. Ann, Phoebe and Paul were top class hosts as usual. There are too many high points to list (but I feel we must mention again the fantastic fish and chips from the local chip shop in Caersws!) and we would only be repeating what everybody else has already written.

You could not wish to stay in a better location with superb views, accommodation, facilities and everything you could ever wish for. We have already booked to return again for another 2 weeks at Christmas and hopefully we may even be able to fit in a short break before then.

This only goes to show how much we feel that this our little part of Welsh paradise.

Once again, thank you Ann, Phoebe and Paul for your superb hospitality. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Amanda & David

Not to blow my own trumpet but I have stayed in some of the top hotels and resorts in the world and yesterday I got back from one of the most relaxing and wonderful places I'd ever been to. Me and my partner stayed in the Trewythen Lodge Blossom 1 which was gorgeous; it was clean, cosy, had all creature comforts and the facilities there were amazing. The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing and really added an extra holiday feel. My favourite part was the views, you couldn't beat them, if you want to get away to a peaceful, secluded piece of paradise this is the place. The weather definitely helped while we were there it was really sunny and hot and by our hot tub was a little sun trap, sitting in there with a glass of wine looking at the views was so relaxing. The couple who run the lodges are so lovely as well, willing to help at any time without intruding on your holiday, you turn up they take you to your lodge, give you all the info you need as well as their personal number if ever you need them, give you the key and leave you alone to enjoy yourself without looking over your shoulder once which I really loved. Me and my partner both agreed we will definitely go back sometime and would love to take some friends with us. I only experienced what a couple holiday would be like there, but after going I can tell that it would be perfect for families, friends and even as a trip on your own if you really need to get away from things. If you are trying to decide between something like this or a B&B (which personally I hate) I would recommend this all the way. We both had a really wonderful time and will definitely be going back in the future.

Room Tip: All I know is the Blossom 1 Lodge was gorgeous and is the most roomy (I think) and the placement of...

We stayed here for a long weekend, a surprise trip booked for my birthday by my boyfriend. The owner was welcoming on arrival and recommended some great local places to eat, drink and visit. We stayed in Bluebell 3 at the top of the site and was a great location with stunning views. The cabin was immaculately clean with comfortable furniture and everything you need (even a dishwasher and washing machine). The cabin had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one en-suite. The outdoor hot tub was so relaxing and spotlessly clean and the indoor sauna was a bonus. The grounds are well maintained and there is some great wildlife in the surrounding areas.
We did two two day trips, one to Lake Vyrnwy which was beautiful and scenic and the second the Elan Valley which was breathtaking and awe inspiring ... i highly recommend both.
I would love to stay here again and recommend it for a relaxing weekend away.

We stayed here in May 2013 as our 'minimoon' and loved every minute. The lodge was well equipped, clean and very comforting. The setting was very picturesque, quiet and relaxing. There was lots of places to see nearby with the use if a car or lots of walks. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone

We stayed for a long weekend in April 2013, it was easy to find - far enough from the main road that you felt you were "away from it all" but not too far and access roads were really good. We were greeted by a lovely smiley face, which was Ann, the owner. She was helpful, showed us around the lodge and amenities and then left us to the breathtaking views and the sheep! The lodge was well equipped and very clean and well cared for. The hot tub was exceptional - spotlessly clean gleaming water heated to the perfect temperature. Whilst you can see the other lodges we felt totally private in the Bluebell lodge. Stunning walks close by - the Élan Valley is well worth a visit. Pretty welsh villages and good local food. We were so chilled by the time we left it felt we had been there longer than our all too brief stay of 4 days. If you want beautiful scenery, fantastic accommodation and a great host who is there if you need her but pretty much leaves you to it then this is the place for you! We will definately be booking again next year, thank you Ann. Dee & Kev, Plymouth aka the Penderyn whiskey drinkers!

We stayed here for 5 days in April and found the lodges to be very clean and had all we wanted to ensure a peaceful and relaxing stay. The owner Anne was very welcoming and even had little touches like tea coffee and milk facilities in the lodge for your use, she also was a mind of information regarding local walks and facilities.
The location was really good out of the way of everything and peaceful. But .. we felt that the restrictions on the useage of the hot tub were making us feel conscious every time we used it and the fact that when we got up on the last day it was chained and padlocked so that we could not use it ! We had paid for the full use of the lodge and it's facilities for the five days not until Thursday night.
This was the only small issue otherwise a great time had.

Thank you for your review and I am pleased you were happy with your lodge.

As with all hot tubs restrictions apply and these restrictions come from Health and Saftey and not ourselves. On arrival all hot tubs are in clean and safe condition for all new guests and we work very hard on the park ensuring this.

The reason hot tubs are locked on morning of departure is that when a hot tub is emptied it takes a long time to refill and heat up. Also when chemicals are put in the hot tubs, they take a long time before anybody can use them, so we have to ensure they are safe for all the new guests on arrival day. If we waited to start maintaining the hot tubs for new guests after 10am in the morning, then this would mean that no guests would be able to use the hot tubs on the day of their arrival and would have to wait until next day. I do hope this explains your disappointment and thank you for coming to stay with us.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for a weekend in March to celebrate a birthday. The setting was beautiful and the fact it snowed made the views breathtaking. The owners were fantastic and nothing was to much. They made the stay very warm and welcoming. I can definitely say we will be back soon. A little secret worth sharing.
