Great location, with Snowdon and the Becons within easy distance.
Clean cabin, with all bits and bobs you'd expect, really nice Sauna also.
This was our 14th lodge and it came up to scratch in all areas, minus a few issues that affected our stay.
Nice welcome by Ann but felt it was a bit OTT for a couple that were 40 not 14. There were big restrictions on the hot tub, that we've not experienced anywhere else. It seemed that the owners focus was the hot tub and nothing but the hot tub.
We felt like we couldnt relax the whole week, and almost felt naughty getting into the tub.A really nice couple opposite us where told to get out of the tub as they had been in their 30 mins.
Sky package was very poor, with just four channels, I know you dont go on holiday to watch tv, but it could be improved.
There was another bedroom in our lodge that was locked, obviously so we didnt mess it up, not a problem, just slightly unusual.
We had a nice stay but it felt like you were being watched all the time. The owners are clearly nice people but need to lighten up, as this type of class of lodge with attract people that arent
yobs,and are respectful.

Thank you for your review.

I would like to say that as owners we put 100% into everything so, that our guests have a enjoyable stay at the park. As for the hot tubs, the rules set out come from health and safety and hot tub manufacturers. We are asked to carry out these instructions and when I explain to our guests, I try to do it in a polite manner and would certainly not speak to anyone like children. We are not OTT and do not just focus on the hot tub.

If a couple were in a hot tub 30 minutes, we would certainly not go and ask them to get out and therefore you must be mistaken by this, we certainly do not need to lighten up.

As for the sky television, we do have more than four channels and as for a second bedroom in your lodge there is not one. The room that is locked is a store room. The Lavender lodge you stayed in is advertised as one bedroom!!!

We are very busy people and also have other occupations and have better things to do than watch our guests. We like to let guests get on with there holiday and leave everybody to enjoy it in peace, as we did with yourselves.

Thank you for staying with us.

We arrived a lot later than 4pm, but were still welcomely warmed by Ann, who gave showed us round the lodge and how to use the hot tub and sauna. Our first impression as we walked in was simple "wow!". We have never stayed in such a clean and tidy place before! The kitchen is full of pots, pans and anything else you may need including bottle openers, tin openers and even a pizza cutter! The beds were like sleeping on clouds! The Surrounding area was beautiful and we all loved walking there (just to the right there is a way to walk up a hill and will bring you to a woods!). Plenty of stuff to do in the area if you want to drive, I'd recommend a visit to constitution hill and King Alfreds labrynth (especially if you have kids). In a nutshell, very friendly owners who really go out their way to make your holiday special and a beautifully clean lodge! Fantastic!

Another thoroughly enjoyable stay at Trewythen. As always, Ann, Paul & Phoebe were great hosts and the lodges were as clean & highly maintained as ever.

We revisited old favourites like the Elan Valley as well as finding some new things to do. Went up to the Bodnant Garden near Conway (a long drive but worth it - see separate review). Also did the coastal rail trip from Machynlleth to Pwllheli. You can do this from Caersws but we were a bit concerned about the connection at Machynlleth so we drove there (free parking at station). Very scenic journey but Pwllheli was very quiet out of season but we did find some excellent fish & chips (see separate review). Also visited Ospreys in the Dovey estuary which gave a good viewing opportunity.

Went for a meal out at at the Waggon and Horses in Newtown. Doesn't look very inspiring from outside but comfortable restaurant inside with fabulous food. We had an excellent evening.

Trewythen lodges are still very comfortable and set in glorious countryside and we plan to return yet again!

we stayed here from 17th to 21st June 2013.

We stayed in the bluebell lodge which was like a home from home. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

The area was beautiful and tranquil a wonderful place to kick back and totally relax leaving the rat race behind you.

As we have use of a hot tub at home we know how much effort it takes to keep them usable, safe and at the right temperature so the regulations regarding use of the hot tub were not a problem to us.

One word, wow !!

This was our third visit and we couldn't have picked a better way to spend Christmas. This time, it was for a fantastic 2 weeks of heaven. Once again, all of the facilities were in excellent condition and the cleanliness was second to none. Ann, Phoebe and Paul were top class hosts as usual. There are too many high points to list (but I feel we must mention again the fantastic fish and chips from the local chip shop in Caersws!) and we would only be repeating what everybody else has already written.

You could not wish to stay in a better location with superb views, accommodation, facilities and everything you could ever wish for. We have already booked to return again for another 2 weeks at Christmas and hopefully we may even be able to fit in a short break before then.

This only goes to show how much we feel that this our little part of Welsh paradise.

Once again, thank you Ann, Phoebe and Paul for your superb hospitality. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Not to blow my own trumpet but I have stayed in some of the top hotels and resorts in the world and yesterday I got back from one of the most relaxing and wonderful places I'd ever been to. Me and my partner stayed in the Trewythen Lodge Blossom 1 which was gorgeous; it was clean, cosy, had all creature comforts and the facilities there were amazing. The hot tub and sauna were so relaxing and really added an extra holiday feel. My favourite part was the views, you couldn't beat them, if you want to get away to a peaceful, secluded piece of paradise this is the place. The weather definitely helped while we were there it was really sunny and hot and by our hot tub was a little sun trap, sitting in there with a glass of wine looking at the views was so relaxing. The couple who run the lodges are so lovely as well, willing to help at any time without intruding on your holiday, you turn up they take you to your lodge, give you all the info you need as well as their personal number if ever you need them, give you the key and leave you alone to enjoy yourself without looking over your shoulder once which I really loved. Me and my partner both agreed we will definitely go back sometime and would love to take some friends with us. I only experienced what a couple holiday would be like there, but after going I can tell that it would be perfect for families, friends and even as a trip on your own if you really need to get away from things. If you are trying to decide between something like this or a B&B (which personally I hate) I would recommend this all the way. We both had a really wonderful time and will definitely be going back in the future.

Room Tip: All I know is the Blossom 1 Lodge was gorgeous and is the most roomy (I think) and the placement of...
