“A wonderful weekend of relaxation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2014

My fiancee and I booked a long weekend at Trewythen Lodges, staying in Lavender 2, to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation... We couldn't have been happier with our stay!

The location of the lodges is absolutely stunning, perched high on a hillside with panoramic views across beautiful open countryside. It really couldn't be any more peaceful, with only a few sheep for company. The deck and hot tub were positioned brilliantly to make the most of this aspect.

On arrival, we were greeted at the main house by the lovely Ann, who showed us to our lodge. She helpfully explained how to use the hot tub and sauna, and then left us to enjoy our stay. The next time we saw her was when she came to wish us well before we left for home, so please ignore any other comments about 'too many rules' or 'being watched'. This is absolute nonsense!

The lodge itself was brilliantly appointed - TV/DVD, TV in the bedroom, Wi-fi, warm electric fire, large fridge-freezer, oven & hobs, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery and utensils, nice shower and bedroom, not to mention the sauna and hot tub!

On one day we did venture out to nearby Llanidloes, which was a very pretty town just a few miles away and well worth a look. On a practical note, for those heading in from the East, there are several large supermarkets in nearby Newtown for stocking up on supplies en route to the lodge - Morrison's, Tesco, Lidl.

We would highly recommend Trewythen to anybody looking for a relaxing quiet break, and we have already been talking about when we might be able to go back again!

Room Tip: Lavender 2 has a wonderful view and aspect.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in lavender lodge 1 from 10th-14th February and the whole experience was fantastic. The lodges are very warm and comfortable with all the amenities you could ever need. We used the hot tub as much as we could as it was amazing (especially in the snow.) The infra-red sauna was a great touch too. Ann was very welcoming and I'm sure she would have been more than helpful had we have needed anything. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to chill out and relax for a few days. We will be recommending this to all our friends and family and look forward to returning in the future.

Me and my partner stayed here for a birthday get away and upon arrival we were initially very impressed! We were greeted by Ann who showed us to our cabin..

She seemed to spend all the time going over the rules of the hot tub and stating H&S as if we were 14 yr old children and not grown adults..then just 30 secs giving our keys to the cabin and basically told us to check it out for ourselves which we found strange. The hot tubs are padlocked shut at 8pm so be aware!!! I have never come across this before and only found out on completion of the booking! This should be stated clearly when looking at these lodges but is obviously not, as it would clearly put a lot of people off!! Sneaky!! Trust is clearly an issue at Trewythen lodges.

Apart from the rules we had a pleasant stay but would not return until the owners relax the rules a little..

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that your first impressions of the lodges were good.

When booking lodges all guests are informed that the hot tubs close in the winter months at 8pm and it is stated on your booking form also. Our park takes great care in ensuring that the hot tubs are always in prestige conditions for guests and we have to mention the health and safety guidelines for your own safety. (These are from hot manufacturers and H & S). I try to do this as quickly and politely as possible, then show the guests in and leave everybody to enjoy their holiday, as I did with yourselves.

I was taken to Trewythen Lodges by my boyfriend as a birthday surprise. We stayed in Jasmine lodge for 3 nights. We arrived Friday afternoon and we're promptly greeted by Ann. She was very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our lodge.
We were shown how to use the hot tub and sauna and then she wished us a lovely holiday and left us to enjoy our weekend.
The lodge itself was lovely. Very clean and warm. Everything we needed was there.
Soon after arriving we jumped in the hot tub with a glass of wine and took in the magnificent views of the Welsh countryside, it was so relaxing!!

This place will remain so special to us as my boyfriend used the opportunity to propose to me! I of course said yes! This was the icing on the cake to a romantic and extremely special birthday weekend away!

Thank you so much Ann and Paul for making the best weekend of my life so extra special. We will be back! Xxx

Just had 7 nights at the Lavender Lodge 1. Upon arrival we was greeted by Ann, who was very pleasant and helpful. She knew our names, which was nice. We followed her to the lodge and she explained the hot tub and sauna etc. The lodge was spotlessly clean and warm. Has everything we needed for our stay. Ann and Paul were very helpful in telling us places of interests we may have wished to visit. They are a friendly couple who are easy to approach. We were left alone by Paul and Ann unless we needed anything. The hot tubs are very well maintained and no issues with them being locked by 8pm or being cleaned. The lodges are fairly remote but you do still have a few villages nearby with Newtown about 6 miles away. Trewythen Lodge was an absolutely perfect place for us as we was looking for peace and quiet. Look forward to returning to the Lodges again. Just wanted to also say Thank You to Paul and Ann for making our stay so lovely.

My husband and I have just returned from spending Christmas and New Year at Trewythen Lodges. This was our fifth stay here but our first time in Blossom lodge.
As usual the lodge was spotlessly clean. The layout was spacious and the kitchen and lounge area had everything needed for a perfect stay including two really comfortable reclining chairs. The huge corner bath was so relaxing you did want to get out of it.
The location of the lodge gave truly amazing views especially from the hot tub which looks out over the valley. This lodge is perfect for peace and tranquility but has a good WiFi connection should you need it.
I must say that everyone in the local area is friendly and welcoming not only in the local shops but especially in the local pub, the Red Lion where they serve very good bar food and a cracking pint.
I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this lodge and would like to thank Ann, Paul & Phoebe for not only their warm and friendly hospitality but also for making our Christmas break even more special.
Many thanks
Amanda & David
