Stayed in April as part of a group of seven, there was another group of about six or seven at the bunkhouse (as was expected) but there were several separate bedrooms so we could still get a sense of privacy. The place was clean, the owners friendly, the location convenient for our needs and this was overall a very good place to stay.
There were however a few minor issues that we felt would, if addressed, have improved our experience. There was no toilet paper in the ladies' loos, when we asked at the farmhouse we were told that they didn't provide toilet paper as it was "self-catering" - I was surprised by this as every other bunkhouse I've stayed in (5+ in various places) has always provided it, even ones that were outwardly much less pleasant places than this one. There was also no means of drying ones' hands in the gents' loos - no dryer and no towells in the towell dispenser. Thirdly, there were no curtains nor blinds on the windows in the bedrooms, which a couple of us found made it difficult to sleep, especially after the sun had risen. Finally, the nature of the rubbish/recycling arrangements was very unclear - there was a single bin provided in the kitchen and lots of bin bags, but nothing for recycling and nowhere to empty the bin once it was filled. Some instructions, or making the provision more obvious, would have been handy as having 12+ people staying meant the bin quickly filled, and we had a lot of glass and cans that should have been recycled.
