“Old fashioned cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 December 2013

Popped in and had an all day breakfast - £5.50 including mug of tea. Large plateful with 3 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, round of fried bread, beans, fried egg, tomatoes. Side of toast and marmalade.

Lovely friendly welcome from Mair - will be calling again.

“Retro time travel- and good too”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2013

A treat of a place- a cafe in a garage, a box with steel windows, mint green walls and formica inside. Truly like walking into a 1950s film. With food to match- simple old fashioned home made food and breakfasts - fresh, local, VERY GOOD puddings, so friendly...everything I love about mid Wales. it's a local secret, and not for everyone, but if you like the old Britain you will love this.

“My Pudding was Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 April 2013

Just an old fashioned, down to earth, totally homemade mixed-fruit crumble, with lots of berries, and fresh cream, and WOW. A lovely simple homely eatery with attentive staff and cooks. Very old-fashioned and peaceful, like stepping into the past. Even my mug of tea was hot and delicious. Everyone should have a meal here at least once in their lives. I am looking forward to when we can pass again for an all -day- breakfast.

“Don't judge a book by it's cover!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2012

Easy to miss but very glad we didn't. Everything freshly cooked. Reasonable prices. Hot drinks with the breakfasts for around £5. Cans of soft drinks 70p with main courses - £5.30 for the nicest bacon, egg and chips tasted in a long time. Not a place to stop if you want to freshen up - toilet outside and very basic but for friendly service and freshly cooked food it was a winner
