“Very clean lovely site”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

Great site for breaking your journey through France, good large pitches, reliable electrics, scrupulously clean. Reasonable value.
Access through the main gate is tight and might spook some people with large rigs although I made it with a 7.5mt Bailey 6-birth pulled by a Renault Trafic minibus - 13 mts overall. Gates locked at 10.30 pm sharp (very sharp!).
The owner runs the reception and is very helpful, his english is not extensive but he copes very well and runs around the site on his bike all day keeping an eye on everything. However the lady running the restaurant not very helpful and she refused to serve our party at 7.50pm even though they don't close until 8.30pm. I would recommend going off site for an evening meal. There is a great place to eat opposite the main doors of the church in the town square and it's cheaper!
Will definitely stop there again next year.

We stayed here one night on the way down south and one night on our return journey. Both pitches were large with 6A electricity (long lead needed). The owner is friendly and the arrival process is efficient, you do need to book in high season. The toilets are clean but no toilet paper and not all have toilet seats. There are no taps in the ladies toilets. Other than that we liked the site as it's relaxing with supermarket/petrol station nearby - perfect for our night stop.

My wife and i stayed for two nights 8/9th june. The site is just over 100 miles from Calais and easy to find off the A28.We followed the owner on his bike to our pitch, which was at the top of the site next to the access road. The pitch was huge, plenty of room for caravan plus awning and car.The site is immaculate, all washing and toilet facilities very clean, and a quarter mile down the road is a Leclerc,Lidy and Aldi. You can order bread for the following day,and the restaurant serves lovely food at reasonable prices. We used our ACSI camping card which they accept as i.d and the cost per night was 14euros.( Bargain ) We liked the site so much we booked for two more nights on our return 10/11 july. We did arrive a little early during the staff lunch break,so did some shopping at the supermarkets until they opened at 1.30pm.We were once again pitched at the top,and again all the facilities were excellent. We did intend to eat in the restaurant but it began to rain so there was no room inside ( We forgot to book!!) The ACSI deal had finished on 30th june, but we still only paid 17euros per night!! We intend to stay again next year on our way to Brittany, but this time we will stay longer as there is an excellent tarmac cycle track 15 metres from the site entrance. We would recommend this site to anyone, without doubt one of the best French sites we have stayed in.

Beautifully clean and tidy site. 100 miles from Calais so ideal for over night stay on your way further into France. We stayed one night on our way there and had such a great time it was a pleasure we had another night on the way back. The little restaurant serves great traditional French food at very reasonable prices but be sure to book because they were full on both the nights we were there. Toilets and all other facilities were spotless. The owner shows you to your pitch on his pedal cycle (if you can keep up with him!) Lots of supermarkets just up the road to stock up on supplies.

We stayed at this site July 2014 and found it to be very clean, tidy and well managed. The pitches vary in size due to the layout but all are well kept.As others have found, the shower blocks and facilities are kept very clean but you need to take your own loo roll !! Easy walk to the town and shops. The Green way for cycling is excellent. The only slight let down for us was the on site Bistro which we visited one evening, though busy it was totally lacking in atmosphere, broken only by the Ping of the microwave in the background, the food was adequate if you are hungry but all a bit flat. For a great lunch experience try Le Saint Pierre at15 Grande Rue Saint Pierre(just over the bridge on same side as town museum ) A very typical, simple establishment with a 12 Euro set menu ie 3 courses plus fromage which we loved.Used by plenty of the local tradesmen and fire bobbys from the local station, the staff only spoke French but were patient and polite when dealing with our limited French when ordering. The food was brilliant for the money.

115 miles from Calais. Ideal stopover. Leave motorway junction 9 whether going N or S. Camp clean, owner friendly. Le Clerc 2 mins away.
Camp improved every year. New dedicated stop for motorhomes next door.
Neufchatel has everything a traveller could want -banks/supermarkets/restaurants.
Good place to stop going N because it avoids possible aggravation in Calais - no need to stop on approach to Port - motorway direct to docks.

We have stayed here several times, and have never been disappointed. The owner always makes us feel very welcome, and everything is so easy & relaxed. Just what is needed at the end of a long day. Having booked in, you just follow him (on his bicycle), pay attention to his instructions & you will be parked so quickly & easily. The pitches are large, water & electricity are never far away, and the grounds are immaculate.
Bread can be ordered at reception & it is absolutely delicious, also seems to keep better than usual - that is if you can resist eating it.
The restaurant is fairly basic, but the food is tasty, and always served with a smile.
We have only ever stayed for a few nights, en-route to the Loire. But have promised ourselves to stay longer if only to stock up on the beautiful heart-shaped cheese of Neufchatel, and explore the locality on our cycles.
