My husband and I went to have a special dinner at the Moulin a Vent.
We were received by the Chef at the entrance and were placed by a nice young waitress.
The owner came to welcome us and presented us the menu; she offered us an "aperitif" and informed us of the Poisson du jour and specialty of the house.
The coast view was wonderful and the overall experience was just magic!!!
We had a degustation menu, paired with wine (following the suggestion of the Chef) !
It was one of the best dinner ever!
It was such a great experience and worth the trip to the Pointe de la Hague .....

It was some years since we had last eaten here, and we found it even better than it was before. It had been refurbished and the menu refined, but the welcome was still warm and the fish fresh. The tables were well spaced, the decor uncluttered and pleasing and the food delicous: imaginative, tasty and beautfiully presented. Of course the fish was the star, but we were also delighted with the salad with wild fennel from the garden.
We were driving past at lunchtime, and were just in time for a meal, but never felt any pressure to hurry. There were a lot of happy French voices there, but we were the only people who took a walk down to the coast path afterwards - so attractive, and I could walk off my wine before driving on!
It isn't on a main route, but well worth seeking out.

My wife and I dined twice at Moulin à Vent last weekend. We loved it.

Ambiance is similar to the one from the neighbouring L'Erguillère hotel: cosy, simple and modern. Some tables offer fantastic view on the garden and the sea.

Food: French, modern, inventive, with a strong Japanese touch, yet not overdone and not pretentious (fabulous lobster carpaccio!!) Looks like their chef just loves his job. We tried all their menus: autour du marche, autour du voyage and autour des atomes (not exactly molecular, but well...) Everything was tasty, well presented, and there was nothing we could complain about.
