Amazing hospitality is what we experienced here. From our first contact with Sonya, to three meals a day, to their friendly dogs and puppy!

Arranged by Sonya, we were greeted off the public boat from Manado by two mopeds to carry us and our bags. A five minute journey by bike along the pathway we arrived at the resort.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin - lovely bamboo cabins placed around the edge of the garden overlooking its own private mangrove bay. Serene, calm and beautiful location.

The cabin contained a double and a single four-poster bed with their own mosquito nets. At the back there is a shower room. Both are semi-sealed, you are close to nature but not too close!

On the balcony We had two parachute hammocks where we spent most of our time. There is only generator power on the island, so WiFi and electricity is limited to nightfall.
WiFi is patchy during this time but Sonya is really helpful with booking /advising further travel options.

Diving and snorkelling is also available here - they are currently building a dive shop. We tried snorkelling on one of the dive trips. The waters around the island have an abundance of colourful marine life.

Meals are served (also included in the price) three times daily - they were all delicious and all tastes are catered for. Mealtimes are a great time to meet fellow travellers.
We had a relaxing yet fun filled time here.

Room Tip: Deluxe - sleeps three, two hammocks. Standard - sleeps two, slightly smaller than deluxe, one hammock.

I spent 4 wonderful nights here and it was bliss from start to finish. Return airport transfers were very convenient especially with early flights, and I would recommend this service.
Dey and the whole team were very welcoming and friendly. They made me feel happy all the time and provided assistance when required.
My chalet was spacious, bed comfortable and refreshing shower with varying temperature depending on time of day.
The food was very good and plentiful. I did not want for anything with endless water tea coffee available.
A couple of easy walks plus fantastic snorkelling right out the front.
Boat trips were well organised, friendly and safe. So much to see and not far away!
I have a feeling I will be returning and I rarely say that.
Thanks for the vote if you found this helpful.

We stayed here for a week - clean, well kept cabins with fan, mosquito net, large bathroom, and hammocks on your private "porch", very friendly and accommodating staff, excellent snorkeling right outside your door and good, plentiful food. Sonia was extremely helpful in making future reservations, travel arrangements, etc....whatever we needed she would offer immediate assistance. She also has the ability to accept VISA which is rare on the island. We would not hesitate to stay here again. It is a 20 - 30 minute walk from the boat to the SeaGarden. If you don't want to make the walk (it is beautiful) with luggage, give Sonia a call and she can arrange to have a motor-cart meet you at the dock.

We just finished a highly enjoyable 4-days stay at the seagarden. Sonya is a very pleasant host who knows how to take care of her guests. Good food, clean rooms, nice settings. Excellent value for money and excellent snorkeling and diving.

I'm not sure how to review this resort, I had a great 10 days staying and diving with them but there's room for improvement. We booked online and the trip was tailored flawlessly, the staff are very friendly and food are excellent. Sonja the manager is very kind, helpful and welcoming. We really had a great holiday!

The best snorkling spot on the area is right in front of the resort (aha, that's why they named it sea garden!). So, if you only snorkel, this place's great, staying elsewhere would means walking down to this resort for the best snorkel's site.

We are divers and planned to dive with other dive centre but when we took a trip with bunaken sea garden, we were so satisfied, we dived the full 10 days with them, new equipment, big boat, fun & experienced dive guide and always a new dive site, thanks Budo! the only drawback is they didn't have my size, XS wetsuit, it gets really cold after the 2nd/3rd dive with a too big S sized, but overall EXCELLENT DIVING!

we are not fussy travellers but I believe there's room for improvement for the bungalow, we had to ask for toilet paper and to fill the water bottle. We're there on rainy season, so there're a loooot of mosquitos. The mosquito net is clean but a bit too small for the bed, it cannot properly closed and we used safety pins to secure each corner. Overall the resort provide basic accommodation and other mid-level resorts on the island offer more for the same price, but hey, it's a great snorkling spot!

just one thing, if you are thinking of taking an open water course/advanced, don't ask for their recommendation, just go and check around by yourself. I had the worse instructor for my advanced course based on their recommendation (not their fault really, they only recommend)

Room Tip: for couples, go for the deluxe room and not standard room. the deluxe got more space & 2 hammocks, the standard room only got 1 hammock and your partner will have to sit on stiff wooden chair
