“Stunning cottage”
Reviewed 7 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Gorgeous little cottage which was very well equipped and immaculatly clean!
It was a freezing cold weekend but the cottage stayed lovely and warm! The cottage has stunning views and there are lots of lovely walks from the cottage. The welcome pack and the ready made fire were lovely touches. Would highly recommend to anyone

“Lovely pre xmas break”
Reviewed 20 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We (2 adults and a baby) stayed at the cottage for 3 nights as a pre xmas treat. From first contact with Julia the booking process was smooth and friendly. Julia gave excellent directions for finding the cottage.
On arrival the cottage was beautifully presented. Absolutely immaculate. Not a speck of dirt anywhere. The kitchen was well stocked and we even had a welcome hamper with fruit cake teabags and local ale! There was plenty of firewood available at no extra cost.
The cottage was very cosy and warm with the fire going and underfloor heating! Gorgeous views from every window. And the best bath ive ever had!
The surronding area is beautiful and the locals are incredibly friendly everywhere you go.
Would reccomend the bridge inn at grinton for food!
We also went to the forbidden corner which is just 40 min drive from the cottage.
We had a brilliant weekend and made great memories of our first family holiday. We would definitely go back.

Had a lovely week in this gorgeous cottage. Old on the outside but beautifully modern on the inside. Great bathrooms and bedrooms. Couldn't fault it

This is a real get away from it all cottage with all the comforts of home. The wifi makes it possible to contact the outside world and is a very good signal. Well equipt kitchen including handy dish washer. Lovely big bath for a long soak. Waking up opening the curtains and seeing the snow covered countryside was stunning. The views are really lovely we had some lovely walks. Local village offers local craft shop and two well stocked shops for supplies. Good pub grub in the village pubs and the CB inn food was exceptional. Even the four legged friend we took loved it, looking through the lounge window at the pheasants walking along the wall outside. We would throughly recommend you rent this cottage for a break from the hustle and bustle. After you get to the CB inn from the direction of Reeth you see the phone box look for the closed wooden gate with swallowholme on and that's the way in. We used google earth to find the property, very handy.
