A group of 30 of us stayed here the day before my Daughters Wedding at Raetihi lodge and also more stayed here on the night of the wedding. The facilities are excellent and you are made to feel extremely welcome. Not a backpackers as one would know but an excellent place to stay. Beautiful location, views and in the en=suite room teh facilities were modern and good. Would love to stay here again.

It's all true. This is the place to go, and you don't have to be a twenty-something to enjoy it. There are all ages here from all over the world- what a great mix of interesting people. Mike and Linley are superb hosts, and they maintain an excellent standard for all aspects of the lodge. The whole place is spotlessly clean and maintained. The kitchen facilities are great, and are a focal point to meet others. There are loads of activities, or you might like to relax and take in the serenity. I could go on, but you get the picture...

We had an amazing 3 days at Hopewell; Lynley and Mike have created a wonderful place to stay that is peaceful, homely, and fun. There are some nice walks to do from the accommodation and the sports equipment available to hire is great value. We also had the best pizza and Anzac biscuits of our 2 months in NZ here! And great fresh mussels, and the kitchen is great, and...well it was all great. You should go.

We had a lovely stay at Hopewell, we loved the people, the surroundings, the mussel cook-ups, the kayaks, the kitchen, the view, the carrot cake and so on and so on. Will definitely be back for more!!

Until 3 days ago, Hopewell was only a place we had read about and dreamed of visiting - after 3 glorious days, Hopewell was everything we had imagined and way more - just an unbelievable slice of paradise - but for sure the highlight was the warm kiwi welcome every guests receives from Mike and Lynley - there are so many little extras that they do to make you feel so privileged to be a part of their way of Life - and now the dream goes on, to be able to visit again one day - WOW just be sure to do whatever it takes to visit Hopewell⛵⛵
