Hopewell Lodge has been my favourite hideaway in the Marlborough Sounds for years. Our most recent visit only confirmed: Lynley and Mike are the most incredible hosts who leave nothing wanting. The place looks in great shape. We went for three nights with our two energetic children. It was so relaxing! Fishing of the wharf - yes, we caught some lovely spotties that, filleted, battered and fried, made for a yummy mouthful that impressed the children - SOP, paddling, kayaking and just relaxing in the hot spa or in the hammocks under kanuka trees... And lets not forget Lynley and Mike's fantastic home baked bread and pizza! We will be back!

Perfect hospitality, stunning scenery, comfy beds and wonderful activities (swimming, sea kayaking, trekking, mountain biking, fishing - to name a few!).
Hopewell is a really special place that feels luxurious, where you can take your time appreciating the beautiful nature that surrounds and really relax.
Fully deserving of its brilliant reputation. Thank you Lynley and Mike for a perfect stay!

We spent a most enjoyable 3 days at Hopewell Lodge. Stunning views, wonderful hospitality, very professional service, highly recommended especially for those who love water sports. A launch will collect you at the opposite side of the sound.

Room Tip: Cottage excellent
