The drive through the Los Ruidera was idyllic. The water really is a deep turquoise colour and the colour of the rocks give the area a lovely glow. The campsite is set in a wood next to a small lake. There are lots of shady pitches. It is a large long site with the main facilities at the front and the pool at the back. There is the usual camp shop and restaurant. Good number of washing machines and drying facilities. Being a 7.5 metre Motorhome we were a little limited to pitches due the small turning circles and low hanging branches. Initially we were situated at the front of the site however requested a move the following day due to the noise from the people traffic to and from the facilities. There appear to be a high number of semi permanent pitches at the front and people often hang around talking till 1 am. We moved to a quieter area at the back - the facilities were also much better. The pool area is large and grassy and very well kept. There seemed to be lots of entertainment for children. The whole site is managed very well. There are a number of small bars and restaurants adjacent to the site. There are plenty of places to swim in the lakes or launch small non motorised boats. Ruidera itself is an easy bike ride of about 8 km but is not the most exciting town in Spain. Overall a lovely campsite.
