You'd pass Sali from the outside, but it's a hidden gem. A beautiful courtyard with tables outdoors and indoors. The menu was varied, EVEN FOR VEGETARIANS!!! We ate the aubergine and Parmesan starter (delicious) and pastas for main courses (excellent). Not cheap, but no dearer than not so good restaurants on the sea front. We wish we'd found Sali earlier on our trip.

We hadn't visited Calella for a number of years. The Sali was a favourite with the kids back then for good pizza and the table football! This year we returned and ate at the Sali on two occasions . It had moved upmarket with good food, well presented and a range of dishes from an excellent curry through pizza or fish to a great steak.
It is not cheap but the every popular courtyard and excellent service along with the well cooked food made the experience worthwhile.
Reservations were necessary.

When you first look inside this restaurant it doesn't look very other than a normal modern restaurant. But once you go up the stairs that are in the back you will be on the cutest little courtyard with pretty flowers and trees hanging over it. The have a various menu, but the Pizza Sali is one of the most delicious pizza's I've ever tasted. Definitely worth a visit! Don't forget to make a reservation, cause it's very busy!

The Sali used to be one of our favourite Calella haunts and we had so many family meals there in the past with the kids looking forward to a game of pool in the corner afterwards. It then fell off a cliff and we didn't bother with it for so long that the kids have their own lives now and no longer join us in Calella.

But things change and some Belgian friends of ours recommended it so much that we had to try it again. We're so glad we did - it was absolutely fantastic.

A great sign was when we couldn't book a table without 3 days notice - that tells you something and reading the menu outside got our mouths watering. We really do get spoiled in the UK - the supermarkets sell food and drink from all over the world and even the smallest towns have a good variety of restaurants from around the globe.

Not so in Spain where the difference between one restaurant and another is quite often the price rather than the choice. Can you imagine going on holiday in Cheshire and eating English food every night? No way - you'd have a bit of French one night, a curry another night, a bit of tapas, a Lebanese maybe, a steak and chips another night and you might finish off the week with a Chinese. The choice of food here tends to grind you down after a fortnight and so the choice at Sali IS A GODSEND. Great pizzas, great salads and better than anything, GREAT CURRIES!!!

We had a lovely night, with lovely (different) food and lovely service. Don't miss out - book your table now.

A very good restaurant with a lovely courtyard. Menu is first class with a difference. You can have local fish or a Thai Curry or a very good Steak. Above average and well worth a visit
