We came as a family of 10 (5 adults, 5 children) and had a wonderful Christmas at the Pavillion!
We had plenty of space and the pavilion was comfortable.
It was really well equipped with everything you could think of.
The location was excellent with lovely sea views from all the front windows.
The only slightly negative comment we could make (and probably a personal one with 5 children) was that the pop up Christmas tree didn’t live up to our expectations. However, with plenty of shops within reach, we managed to grab a more substantial tree, lights & decorations from Marks & Spencer’s in Scarborough.
We would definitely return again and thank Anne for the great communication from booking until returning.
We had a great weekend with our friends celebrating my husband's birthday. A lovely well equipped property in a super location.
The Pavilion is outstandingly comfortable and well equipped, with en-suite or bathroom privacy for each guest. There are sea views from every room, and just a short walk to the beautiful beach. Sandsend itself has excellent eateries, though with The Pavilion's roomy kitchen-diner you could be tempted to stay put. Given good weather, there's plenty of space to eat outside in the large garden. It's a great holiday place - for young and old alike. We didn't want to leave!
The location of the Pavilion is first rate, sea views from the garden and from the house. Large flat front garden which children and adults can enjoy. Beautiful house , comfortable beds and very well equipped kitchen. Everything we could need and very clean. Sandsend is a quiet seaside resort very suitable for families. Whitby is close with plenty of activities for all to enjoy. Luxury accomodation in a beautiful spot.
Our family group of 10 ranged in age from 7 months to grandparents and we all loved this spacious house. The garden was large and peaceful with amazing views of the sea. If we could have ordered the weather it couldn't have been better and we spent most of the time out of doors. The beach was a short stroll away and the furthest we ventured all week was to Whitby on the service bus, which passes just at the end of the road every 30 minutes. Mealtimes were happy occasions gathered around the large kitchen table and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need for a party of 10. Books and games were provided, toys for the children and even a windshield and buckets and spades for the beach. Sandsend is a quaint, small, unspoiled seaside village with a beach particularly suitable for small children. We enjoyed our visits to the Hart Inn but remember to pre-book a table and (if desired) order lobster at the same time to ensure you are not disappointed. The children loved their daily visit to Sandsend Stores and The Wits End cafe with its walled garden was another favourite. All in all one of our best family holidays and we would definitely love to return.
the Pavilion in Sandsend is absolute perfection. This holiday home has been lovingly created by the owner and she has thought of everything. The house is perfectly located for the beach, and is furnished to a very high standard but is still really cosy and comfy to stay in. there were 10 of us ranging in ages from 60 to 18 months and the home was just right for all of us. We were there for 4 days and everyone said they wished we were staying for longer.
