I don't have enough positive adjectives to describe this amazing b&b & hostess Topsy. You are pampered from the moment you enter the home. The fire is a pleasant backdrop to the lovely front parlour. A hot drink & refreshments are offered.

I have been fortunate to have 4 visits over the years. It's a long way from Australia but I wouldn't come to England without a stay here.

I choose the Autumn room. Windows toward the back & side. The bed is dressed beautifully & as comfy as it is pretty. There is drinks set up for tea or coffee plus a fridge in hallway if required. The bedroom is large and all the furniture is not only useful but complements the decor of the room.

The bathroom is large, power shower and all the amenities one requires. The towels are large, thick and luxurious.

Topsy makes a breakfast to suit your needs and produce is fresh.

Topsy is only too happy to give you ideas on how to access areas of interest for you.

It is my deepest desire I again get to sample this magic place.

From the moment Topsy greeted us, we felt like we were at home. We were served tea on the patio, and enjoyed the surroundings. Our room was huge and so well arranged; it looked out over the farm and surrounding countryside. The tea-making facilities included Royal Doulton cups and saucers - style and class. Breakfast was fantastic with their own free-range eggs, and everything else sourced locally.

We were able to have a look through the workings of the farm, including cow sheds and milking. There were no frills as this is a working farm.

We cannot recommend this wonderful B&B too highly.

Room tip: It doesn't matter what room, they are all to the same very high standard, and all would be quiet.

This is one of those places that you don't want to talk about because it feels like a secret present to yourself but it's only fair to give them the credit they deserve. A really lovely house in a stunning setting next to a working dairy farm. Topsy went above and beyond and does the nicest baked tomatoes I've ever tasted. Will bring the family back but it was a real treat to be there as a lone traveller too. Looked after but also left to my own devices - the perfect balance.

Room tip: I stayed in 'Summer' but they must all be lovely.

We stayed here one night as we were passing through Salisbury. Everything about the stay was wonderful, from the friendly greeting with a welcome cup of tea in the restful front room, our suite, which was quiet and comfortable, the delicious breakfasts, and enjoyable conversations with the family and other guests. We liked it so much we went out of our way to stay there again on our way home a week later.
