We arrived 15th of May, which turned out to be perfect timing with all the blossoming around. From our Spring room the flowering trees and grazing cows with their small ones were accompanying us right outside our windows. Our dear Patricia provided us with comfort, kindness and excellent breakfast as well as map and good instructions on how to reach places. Our room had a king size bed with nice thick soft cover. Room also had its own sink, which was handy. Bathroom was right outside ours and provided us with great relief after learning how to use the English style flush handle. All was clean and tidy.
For romantic (unfortunate) travelers without car, the distance from city is about 11km and with 3 pound bus is possible to arrive about 4km from the farm, almost all the way to Royal Oak pub, then country road with hills, cows and sheep, also friendly people. On the way to city there are couple of nice old village churches and the Wilton house. The Cathedral and Old Sarum are within walking distance from city center, where King's Head Inn is recommended. For Stonehenge a bus is available, and Bath. Car recommended, but beware the 5-6pm traffic hour.More
