I might travel as a solo person but when I come to the Blue Gardens it is like a second home and family, not just the Pittikaris family (who spoil me rotten) but the other guests like me who keep returning. This is why I have 3 holidays booked for 2012 just to make sure I get a room. So everyone STOP writing the fantastic reviews or we won't be able to get in again. See you all next year. XX Dave

We stayed in a 2 bed apartment, which was spacious, clean and perfect for our family of 4. There was some (minor) noise from cockerels and dogs).

Very friendly, small family-run hotel with great open bar next to the swimming pool. Food was available anytime, and a good mix of Greek and English food. Some evening events were organised (eg Greek barbecue evening) or kids games.

Overall, a great atmosphere. There's a TV for those who want to catch up on something, but its not intrusive. A lot of the nights the kids where in the swimming pool at 10pm or later - all very relaxed and family orientated.

Its only a 5-10 minute walk into Roda, with various choices of bars and restaurants, some right by the beach, others up small alley ways. There is something for everyone, plenty of English choices, a few Greek but also Italian & Mexican. Sometimes we ate in the town and came back to Blue Gardens for a drink.

We hired a car (Eland arranged this hire) and did a tour round of the north of the Island (and visited Corfu town in the evening, recommended, great atmosphere) Other guests did boat trips, or just lazed by the pool.

We also went to the beach (which runs alongside the town) - its very safe and shallow, great for small kids - although it could be cleaner in some areas. - And you get a great view of Albania - who know it was so close!

Book a taxi transfer (about 45mins and 50 euros) rather than the coach, which can take upto 2 hours or more!
Definitely recommended and we will be coming back to Blue Gardens again!

Room Tip: Email Elena direct with your requirements, and she will try to help you.

Very good clean accomodation. A very friendly & helpful family run business. If staying in Corfu again this would be our first port of call.

Title sums up our stay. The pool area was always quiet and relaxed whatever time we used it and could always get a sunbed and shade.
The lovely extended family that own the complex couldn't do enough for us and Costas would keep the bar open every night until we wanted to go to bed. Now you can't say fairer than that!
Thank you for a relaxing time, we will be back!

As a solo traveller, one has sometimes to accept sub standard rooms, parked around the back etc. At Blue Gardens my room was excellent, with a large balcony giving way to a view over the mountains. Elena, Andreas and Kostas were always available and very welcoming. Mainly families there, great to see them having such fun. I will recommend to my friends and family who holiday with children. The beach to use is a short walk to the Golden Sands Taverna, where free sun longers are available, and they make the best Cafe Frappe ever.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from the swimming pool, so that you get the morning sun and the room is c...

From the minute we arrived, when we received a very warm and heartfelt welcome- we instantly felll in love with Blue Gardens. Elena, Andreas, Costas & Grandad are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. They instantly make you feel part of an extended family. The apartments are lovely, clean & with pleasant balconies to sit out on & enjoy fantastic views. The pool area is clean & the pool itself ideal for children & adults of all ages because it is shallow. It never seemed busy & we often had the pool to ourselves in the middle of the day- how many resorts can say that in the middle of the school holidays? Our two teenage children were made to feel really welcome & joined in with pool volleyball, Wii games & quiz games with no cajoling! In fact, they loved it so much that they declared on their first day there that they wanted to return next year- and for 2 weeks.
The town is 5 minutes walk away for a fantastic choice of restaurants- if you can tear yourself away from the home cooking on site.
Overall, our best holiday ever. We were sad to leave, but will definitely be back!

After a disasterous journey totalling 14 hours from Stansted (!!) we arrived at the Blue Gardens and were immediately made so welcome the horrid travel was forgotten! Elena, Andreas, Kostas and the two Dads are so very welcoming and the Blue Gardens so lovely that travel woes slipped away within the first hour.

The hotel is quiet, peaceful and well appointed and everything you'd need is provided - even down to the pegs to dry your swimwear! Lovely home grown and cooked food and ice cold drinks available all day, though with the rooms self catering it's up to you just how much you partake.. 5mins walk from the hotel gets you to the beachfront of Roda, with it's restaurants, bars and entertainment.

Beautiful location and excellent staff make it an absolute pleasure to stay at the Blue Gardens. Elena and Andreas will assist with any tours or extra bookings you need - from car/bike hire to boat tours, they know the lot and can offer good advice and good prices!

Thank you enormously for making our holiday so lovely! Elena, Andreas & Kostas - keep the beer cold and the squid at the ready, cause we'll definitely be back!
