We booked a last minute holiday through On The Beach. Had never stayed at Blue Gardens but had been past many times and thought it looked nice. It was great! We had a lovely apartment on the ground floor next to the pool. Really clean, perfect for the two of us. Eleni and Andreas have painted the old wooden dark furniture in a lovely blue, so it’s still traditional Greek but with a modern twist. A safe and mosquito nets available at a small charge. No aircon but didn’t find that a problem, due to the mosquito nets we could sleep with our terrace doors open. Eleni and Andreas were really lovely, as is their daughter Mariantha. They all speak excellent English, in fact I thought Eleni was English!

We ate there a couple of times, food was excellent. Fresh sea bream one night which was to die for. The Greek night was put on by the family, so much nicer than getting “the professionals” in. The food on the Greek night was really nice.

The pool area is good, not a massive deep pool but perfect for me as I’m not a good swimmer anyway, and would be ideal for young children.

It’s about a 5-10 minute walk into the village, take a torch as it’s pitch dark on the way back. It’s also uphill on the way back, not really steep though.

All in all a great holiday and we’d definitely return.

We have recently returned from a one week stay at the Blue Gardens - family of four, two adults and two teenagers.

I think the best thing to say, is that our two boys have asked when are we returning!

From the welcome, the lovely spacious apartment, good food, and friendly atmosphere, our week was a pleasure.

For those of you looking at the map, wondering whether the road from the Blue Gardens to the beach is easy - Yes. A very gentle incline, taking about 10 minutes to the beach and village.

We ate both in various restaurant in the village and at the Blue Gardens, and can recommend the Skouna restaurant - friendly staff and good food.

The beach is nice and sandy, and you can always find a spot that isn't crowded.

Elena, Andreas and Marianti will do anything for you, always attentive, always friendly, and doing their best to make your stay as fun as you would like.

We're definitely looking at staying there again next year!

Our masionette was fabulous, lots of space for 4 people. The food here is absolutely perfect, couldn't of asked for anything better, if something was not on the menu Andreas or Elena would still make it for you, excellent hosts.
Lovely location close to the beach & shops.
The pool was a tad smaller than we were expecting but no problem getting a sun lounger.
The only negative comments are the lack of Air Conditioning, this was very much needed, the fans to hire are already positioned on the walls & not adjustable, and for this reason alone we would not return in July/August, such a shame as everything else was lovely

We have just returned home from a small 4 day last minute break , we loved blue gardens and found it to be perfect for us.
Our apartment was right at the back of the complex which was really peaceful , we ate breakfast a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the food . The family are lovely who run it , very friendly . This was our second visit to roda but first at blue gardens we will defiantly be back and when we do it will be to the blue gardens , fab little place .

Just got back from 2 weeks holiday at The Blue Gardens and got a great welcome back from Elena, Andreas & Marianthi. First week it was a group of 12 which was noisy and so much fun, with a couple of birthdays celebrated during the week. Elena put on a Greek night, where they got the fellas up to do the Greek drunken dance & they also put on a games night where everyone got very wet, I’ll say no more about it. Second week was a quiet one with just me & hubby. The food cooked by Andreas is fresh and lovely, even if it’s not on the menu he will cook it for you. Roda town itself is lovely with lots of bars & restaurants to choose from, everyone is so friendly & welcoming. Will definitely be going back to see everyone soon.
