“Stunning romantic stay, Idyllic location.”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Palms and Spas offers something very different to that of the majority of accommodation found on Corfu, it is special for many reasons but the main one being its stunning location looking out onto the bay, sitting in the tub late on in the evening with a glass of fizz and hearing the ocean is truly magical.

In terms of facilities, you will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, fab for cooking up a storm come lunchtime after a lazy morning sunbathing and utensils wise the kitchen is stocked with a good selection of pots, pans and cutlery, the coffee machine is a nice touch and the welcome bottle of wine really nice upon arrival, you can also expect a decent sized wine glass, none of the thimble size glasses so often found in rental accommodation.

The bathroom is fitted as a wet room, great shower and large sink, the towels are fluffy and freshly laundered and gorgeous shower gels and hair shampoo and conditioner are also provided, a nice touch would be personalised towels and a couple of robes and slippers - certainly also handy for when getting out of the tub !

The terrace is furnished with a double day bed - canopied with cotton so perfect for sun or shade, 2 loungers and a dining table and chairs, gorgeous for a lazy lunch looking out to sea, the tub is a great addition, we have loved chilling out and catching some rays whilst in the warmth of the water.

Grounds and gardens stunning, fab plants and attention to detail, the village is small but well equipped, the supermarkets are well stocked and we have eaten fab fresh fish at lunchtime on the terrace, nightlife is of a slow pace, all within easy walking distance of Palms and Spas, some nice restaurants serving traditional Greek cuisine, priced very reasonably and some gorgeous cocktail bars on the beach.

All in all we have really enjoyed our stay, very comfortable, great nights sleep in a huge bed, nice touches with well positioned lighting and yards and yards of fabric billowing in the breeze, we will definatley come back but most probably with the family, In terms of improvements I would suggest the towels and robes, throw away slippers with a rubber bottom would be good for getting in and out of the tub as the printed concrete can be slippy with wet bare feet and I would also look at a way of fixing the hot tub steps to the unit itself as they move very easily, other than these points I think coasters inside and out would be a good idea, an iPod dock and possiby a chargeable mini bar.

All the best and Thanks for a magical stay, K and M.

We stayed at the beautiful Palms and Spas in Corfu from Oct 23-27, 2013 at the very end of our Greek Odyssey vacation. We were among the very last guests before the winter closing period. Our host, Vas, was informative, generous and helpful. The place is kept immaculately clean. Our kitchen was modern and user-friendly. The view of Mesongi Bay from our suite was breath-taking. Our favorite detail about this hotel, however was the very private, clean, new jacuzzi spa on our balcony. We made excellent use of it every night staring up at starry Corfu sky. Thank you so much Vas for memories that will last forever - we will be back one day.

Room Tip: They all have great views! Get one with a jacuzzi!

Stayed here for a week after our wedding in September 2013 - the first week of lower prices! Having booked and paid 50% in advance I was a little worried whether it would exist on arrival but I can assure you it does! Since we were staying a week we took the offer of a free hire car - and a stock Fiat Punto was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived at midnight. A few years older than a normal hire car maybe, but did us very well the whole week exploring the island.

Vassilis was on hand when we arrived to give us the tour of the apartment and the spa/jacuzzi. Everything was as per the photos and descriptions on the site - waking up the next morning and looking straight out to sea in the blazing sunshine was amazing. The apartment was cleaned and made-up every day to a superb standard. We only ate in once or twice as eating out is great food and very reasonably priced, but the kitchenette provided everything we needed for that. The main thing we used it for was the Nespresso machine - amazing! Outside was also superb - there really is no substitute for being able to sit outside on your own terrace in your own hot tub looking out to sea and up at the stars with a glass of champagne!

Being a bit later in the year the weather was a perfect temperature (28C) and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The whole island was nice and quiet and we never had to queue for anything.

The apartments are by a road, but I needn't have worried - it's more like a country lane by UK standards and set down from the edge of the apartments terrace so we hardly noticed it was there. The beach is a 10 minute walk down the road and was fine but we preferred to take the car or quad bike over to the trendy beach bar between Ag. Georgios and Lake Korission if we wanted a beach-day. Palms & Spas is perfectly located for exploring - only an hour or so to the southern tip of the island and less than two to the northern tip with so much to see in between.

The wifi worked great and an email to Vassilis about any whim resulted in a knock at the door shortly after with the resolution in hand! We did have a minor ant problem when we left a loaf of bread out one night but this was rectified while we were out the same morning and we didn't see any again after that. Otherwise everything was perfect and we couldn't have hoped for a better place to spend an amazing week!

Thanks Vassilis!

Nick & Alice

We stayed here for 7 nights and had a lovely time especially since the price did include a free car rental (Fiat Panda). The room is lovely and clean and very large so there is plenty of space for everything and the kitchen is well equipped. There are some nice touches like posh coffee maker and a lantern which can be lit at night and the outside space is lovely - yes there are some power cables but it's not as bad as some people say. The bedding in good quality and were changed once during our stay. I would recommend that ladies bring their own hairdryer if they are fussy as the one in the room is standard hotel issue and not brilliant. Keep the screens closed at all times as mosquitoes are rife at this time of year and a real nuisance. Vassilis is a really good host and checked to make sure everything was okay most days, he also arranged for a blanket when I asked for one. If we had any issues he responded immediately and sorted out the temperature of the jacuzzi within 5 minutes of us reporting it.

Room Tip: The rooms at the top of the hill have better views

This was a wonderful holiday! We rented the apartment with the private jacuzzi and It was great. We were welcomed very warmly by the owner. The location was perfect as it was a 5/10 minute walk from the centre of the town and beach. The day bed outside was lovely and let us rest with a sea view. The bedroom and living room also have good views of the sea, so you can wake up to a beautiful view of the ocean and mainland Greece opposite. We had a hire car and explored the island with its spectacular views. The beaches are beautiful and although the local one gets busy, there are quieter ones to be found a short drive away. The apartment was kept very clean and we always felt like help was at hand if we needed it (we didn't as everything was pretty much perfect!). The garden had a dining table, which was wonderful for enjoying lunch with a view. The apartments are professionally run but still have a personal touch. Perfect for me and my other half to relax and unwind in the beauty of the island :)

Room Tip: The jacuzzi suite is worth paying a little extra for!

Overall we had a nice stay at this hotel. It had a well equipped kitchen that we used to make breakfast every day. The room was clean and large. There were a few minor complaints including the pillows were hard and uncomfortable, the shower is not separate from the rest of the bathroom so if you turned it up too high it got the toilet wet, the ocean view is obstructed by power lines and the advertised price of the room doesn't really include a free rental car as stated on the website. I was told that there needs to be a minimum 7 night stay in order to get the car. We stayed 5 nights and were given a slight discount from the advertised price since a rental car was not included. We only used the Jacuzzi once during our stay so I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost. The restaurants that are within walking distance are overpriced and not that great. Zack´s family taverna just outside of town was good.

We stayed here 4-11 June 2013 for our honeymoon. It was wonderful! The staff was very friendly, the suite made us feel right at home, very cosy and clean. The view is to die for, sitting in the jacuzzi overlooking the sea :) The walk (downhill) to the shops and restaurantsi is only about 200 m.
We had an excellent time, and hope to be back at Palms and Spas soon!
