This hotel is beautiful and after being in Catania for 4 days this is what we needed. It had a beautiful pool and great lounging space. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated with the old Italian charms. It was within a 10-15 mins drive to Siracusa Town and the beaches were close by either by car or even by bike (which by the way the provide for free). The only downside is that you will need a car to get there as it is in the middle of nowhere but if you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet I do recommend this hotel. The staff was so friendly with amazing personalities. The hotel offers more then you expect.

We booked thus hotel based on its reviews online. Arriving late to the hotel we were impressed by the evening staff (Justin) and the mini tour around.

The room was a "classic" so relatively small, but it's all you need if you're using the hotel as a base. There's plenty of room by the pool, with a solarium and dedicated gazebos for each room. You can also take short walks around the fruit and vegetable patch and use the bikes without charge.

Choice at breakfast was good, with eggs any style available as the hot option. Be aware, chaos can ensue if there are large numbers arriving at once.

There were some downsides though. Early May appears to be off-season so don't expect any entertainment or the poolside bar to be open except at the weekends. Lunch is a tad expensive at roughly €15 with a coffee. It also appears that whatever is leftover makes a reappearance for the evening meal. Dinner is offered at €25 with water, other drinks are extra. However, service was quiet slow.

Two really negative points were on the last evening. Relaxing by the pool, it was decided that this was the best time for insecticide spraying with an industrial fogger. We had to flee the pool and when we reported this to reception we were only told then to return to our room until it was over... when it was over!

The other black mark was the closing of the restaurant for "extraordinary maintenance". We weren't informed before that evening and when we asked for recommendations for where to eat, Ortigia was suggested... a 15 minute drive away. Luckily Addauro Resort, right next door, were able to fit us in at the last minute! An absolute must for dinner at least once if you're in the area.

Overall, not bad but perhaps it was because it wasn't quite ready yet.

Oh, and you definitely need a car to get around! Make sure to visit Noto!

We thank you for having positively judged the structure as a whole, and especially for having enjoyed the opportunity to experience moments of absolute relaxation in the spacious and well-kept Sicilian gardens where our structure is located and in the spacious solarium with hydromassage pools.
Our staff has appreciated your positive note having done its utmost to ensure that your stay at Casale Milocca was as pleasant as possible. In fact, we had the pleasure of assigning you a superior room with a private terrace, even though your booking was a Standard room, we have gladly facilitated you with late check in after 8:00 pm and late check out at 1:00 pm and we have noted with pleasure that you enjoyed it very much during your stay our services included in the room price, such as free bike rental, the possibility of walking at the synergistic vegetable garden in close contact with nature, breakfast with a wide selection of typical products and the large solarium with naturalistic pools.
As for the catering services being still at the beginning of the season we preferred to open the pool bar only during the weekend but, on request, we always assured bar service and light lunches at the secret garden, we are really sorry that the communication on this possibility has not been clear enough. Only one evening during your stay we were forced to close the kitchen and not be able to assure dinner at the restaurant as a result of a sudden failure we had to promptly carry out maintenance work, communicating it to all customers with the highest possible notice and indicating valid alternatives in the surroundings; we are pleased that the colleagues of the Resort next us have been able to accommodate you, we will keep this in mind for the future.
Finally we apologize for the inconvenience concerning the disinfestation, unfortunately the external company that took care of it (the disinfestation is mandatory a precise number of times a year in certain periods) should have warned the reception staff before starting, so to give us the opportunity to advise customers, and in any case the above mentioned intervention has been scheduled in the closing time of the pool.
We hope to welcome you again to show you our will to do better and to aim at total customer satisfaction.
Thanks for the time you have dedicated to us.
Best Regards,
The management of the Hotel Casale Milocca

Just amazing from start to finish. Stunning location, excellent facilities, wonderful staff. Paradise! Didn’t want to leave!

This place is worth every penny. The rooms are stunning and exceptionally clean, the pool area is huge and spacious and very relaxing. Great kids playground and exercise area (and I believe they are also building a spa! Winner!). There is a herb garden, vegetable patch and fresh fruit grown. The owner gave us a tour of what he was growing and how and let our son pick pea pods, carrots and also fresh strawberries. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, at breakfast time we had amazing omelettes cooked individually (and lots of other choice), the restaurant served amazing food in the evening all locally sourced or grown on site, with fantastic wine selection. One night we were a bit chilly with it being so early in the season and the came with piles of new duvets.
There are bikes for adults and one child’s bike you can just take at your leisure.

Location is quiet so you will need a car but you are only 10 mins from a beach that looks like the Caribbean (Fontane Bianchi).

I will for sure be back!!

We are a family with one child (2.5) and loved our off-season stay at the hotel. The room was spacious, newly- and elegantly-decorated. The location is very good, a short drive to the nearest beach, 15 minutes by car from Siracusa. The staff are super friendly, from the owner and receptionist to the assistant Ali. The breakfast team, Marina and Sara, made us feel very welcome and looked after us well. The owner even contributed her own cakes and bakes.
We were there off season, so we did not use the lovely-looking pool, but our daughter loved the playground as well as picking her own fruit.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casale Milocca. Very relaxing which is what we were looking for. We arrived 2nd week of Sept so it seemed fairly quiet during the day and evening, although breakfast always seemed to be busy. The place has a lot going for it, but at times felt a bit disjointed and lacking in atmosphere. Luckily we wanted a relaxed getaway and time to rest so it didn't really matter, but normally I would look for a place with a bit more of a vibe. I caught a cold a couple of days in and the staff were so lovely making me honey and lemon tea to help me feel better.

I loved the eco aspect of this hotel, it was lovely to walk around the vegetable garden and to watch the stars at night.

The pool was too cold, the atmosphere of the place was lacking.

You need a car to get anywhere so be prepared! There is a lovely beach in Arnella literally 5 minutes from the hotel. Siracusa & Noto are must-sees.
