Our room was clean and comfortable, downside (from a business point of view) wifi only available in the bar and no Mobile signal on any network, food is very good, the full English was delicious but the best thing is the staff Happy, friendly and helpful great company.

Room Tip: Phone and Book you will not be disappointed!

Stayed here for one night. It was perfectly adequate but nothing special. I was with family and all of our rooms could have done with some updating.
Fair price and lovely cooked breakfast in the morning.

Room is basic but clean and comfortable, downside is wifi only available in the bar but surfing with a pint next to the roaring log fire is more than compensation. Food is very good, the full English was delicious but the best thing is the staff. Happy, friendly and helpful. Brilliant. Looking forward to my next visit next month.

We enjoyed a two night stay at the Fountain Inn for a family wedding, with five of us staying in three rooms. The beds were comfortable (both double and singles) and rooms clean and tidy although one or two beams can be a bit low for anyone over 6ft. The breakfasts were tasty and well cooked, although choices for cereals were limited (no muesli or fruit). Overall we thought it was good value for a short stay in a nice village.

Room Tip: Room 1 has a comfortable double bed and is at the rear so quiet.

My boyfriend and I came to stay for 3 nights. Location great: less than ten miles from salisbury and very close to brockenhurst for mountain biking etc. Rooms homely and best nights sleep in ages, so comfy! Food was simple home made but really tasty and fresh. Julie the manager was lovely and really helpful. We are definately returning and its highly recommended

We stayed here one Sunday evening after a visit to the Mary Rose exhibition in Portsmouth. The village of Whiteparish is very small and rather nobby, with residents living in London during the week, so most 'locals' return to the smoke on Sunday evening. We arrived about 4.30pm and were told meals were only served until 6pm on a Sunday. The pub then closes about 8pm and that's your lot till Monday morning. This might bother some, but suited our needs perfectly. The food was very tasty, crab salad & belly pork. The room we had on the front was rather noisy as the pub is on the main Romsey - Salisbury road, & it was so warm we had to have the windows open. Clean, tidy & Wi-Fi too. Friendly staff, good cook, and a lovely breakfast in the morning. What more do you need for a one night stop over?

Room Tip: Room 6 is on the front - traffic noise

Stayed one night, room clean and what you would expect for an olde inn. Booked a double bed online, but got a twin - when asked the owner was told to push the beds together!
Had dinner in the bar, requested steak, but they had none? I would have thought as it's a pub menu staple they would have got some in for the weekend? I had Wiltshire ham, eggs and twice cooked chips, does cooking the chips twice make them soggy? and no garnish except a huge pile of Branston pickle? My wife had the burger. I wish we had read the earlier review, I can confirm it was tasteless.
Our stay was redeemed by the full English breakfast, very good.

Room Tip: Don't expect too much.
