We stayed at the Hillside B&B for two nights, Friday and Saturday, for a trip to visit Stonehenge and Salisbury. It was myself, my husband and our 2 year old. We found the B&B quite easily on the Friday night and there was ample parking across the street. Our accommodation was the private cabin at the back of the property, which had a fully stocked kitchenette (bread, cereal, milk, juice, etc.), and plenty of room for sleeping. The bathroom was well stocked with soap and shampoo in case you forgot your own and there were plenty of clean towels. Jeff and Carol we very responsive via email and were nice and welcoming in person. The neighbouring Yew Tree Inn has excellent food and service - and is family & dog friendly! The bathroom has an electric shower so there was no concern about hot water and the cabin was clean and well maintained. There was the odd spider web, of course, but it's a cabin in the English country so that's to be expected. We had no concerns while we were there and had a very pleasant experience. It's very close to Salisbury (which is a lovely city) and is only a 30 minute drive to Stonehenge. I would recommend this B&B and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We love this homey B&B. The lining are lovely and you have everything in the room. Fridge, toaster, boiler, microwave. There are plenty of cereal and two big bags of bread you could have. There are enough milk, orange juice and different flavours of jams you can choose from!

Luckily we have a sunny morning so we have breakfast in the garden! There are little wooden decorations make the B&B even more homey!

Just a friendly reminder, just go a little up from the pub and there is a stair to go up to B&B. It could be quite dark and not able to see the sign at night.

Easily the worst experience we had after travelling throughout England for the past 2 weeks.
Negatives
1. It's a spider cottage with webs and spiders all over. Poorly maintained.
2. Creaking / broken bed.
3. Television needs warming up time on first use. Faulty.
4. Cramped room and toilet.
5. Unclean bath
6. Hot water is a mess
7. Unclean cutlery
Positives
Privacy!! The owner doesn't even know / care that someone else exists in their premises.

With reference to this extremely negative review we wonder if the guest has the right property as we do not have baths, only shower rooms, and new flat screen Sony TV''s that come on staight away. The cutlery is always washed in the dishwasher after each guest. As for the spiders in the garden, we live in the country and in the early morning dew one does see the light cobwebs on the bushes etc glimmering in the morning sun.
We pride ourselves on clean rooms and service as you can see from all the other reviews. We were very disappointed ourselves that these guests left without saying goodbuy or handing back their key and leaving their door wide open for all and sundry ,as we do like to say goodbuy and wish our guests a good journey.

My family loved the cabin behind the main house. There were five of us, and we all had a bed. There's a little kitchen (which we didn't use because we ate at the pub next door). Bathroom was tiny, but clean. We enjoyed our stay.

This b&b is only about 5 miles from Salisbury city centre. Lots of space for the whole family (we have 5 people)! Garden is as green as it can be. Jeff and his wife are very warm and helpful. Plenty of basic breakfast items. Cabin looks fairly new and well kept. Highly recommend.
