Stayed for just one night in the longhouse, Feb 2014. Basic rooms and what we expected at the low price. Shower and hot water system worked fine.

The location is ideal if you wish to explore the nature around Sepilok. The bungalow style villas looked amazing from the outside! Friendly staff and a nice dinner. My favorite part about this stay was the wonderful scenery surrounding us and I loved hearing the sound of birds happily chirping away.

Stayed here during my recent visit to sepilok and its a lovely retreat away from it all. Cabins are clean, all be it that there may be a gheko in your room and the beds are comfy enough. The bathroom could have done with a lick of paint and with a little bit of patience you will have hot water and all. Just ot remind you that you are in the jungle there will be the odd power outage but its all part of the fun. What I found missing in the cabin was a ward robe however. A good varied breakfast was included in the room price, howver due to its location you are more or less "forced" to also have dinner there. Again the menu is varied and the food(at western prices) is indeed lovely.
The gardens are beautiful but i do wish they had a bigger pool and better sun loungers

We stayed here for 1 night when we flew from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan to visit the Orangutan Sanctuary. We arrived roughly about 8am, and were able to check in, although our room wasn't ready.
We paid and had breakfast before heading out for the day.
When we arrived back about 3pm, we were able to go to our room. The room were lovely, comfy beds. Bathroom a little dated but we didn't mind that.
The grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is also fantastic. These are the reasons we would recommend anyone to stay at Sepliok Forest Edge Resort.
We also had our Evening Meal here, whilst it wasn't cheap, the food was amazing. Best meal in Borneo!

Room Tip: Make sure you cover up before trekking. It is true what they say about the leeches!

We stayed here for three nights and it was like being in a relaxing retreat. Like most people we came to see the Orang-Utans at the Rehabilitation Centre and it was fantastic being able to take a short stroll up the road to see them for both feedings each day. The Forest Edge Resort is also a short walk to the Rainforest Discovery Centre. We stayed in the longhouse dorm rooms and it was very clean and comfortable. The shared bathrooms were very clean as well. The grounds of the resort are beautiful and it was very nice to sit and relax and watch all the birds. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere and are able to just relax and take in the beautiful orang-utans. Can't recommend this place enough!

Clean, nice chalets. (I didn't see the longhouse.) Great food, friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great place to stay!

Location is great as well, the Orangutan rehabilitation center is a short walk away from the resort and the rainforest discovery center is within walking distance as well.

A lovely resort in a very peaceful and beautiful location within 10 minutes’ walk of the orang-utan sanctuary. . The accommodation in small chalets with bathroom is clean and very adequate . Hot water and air con worked fine. My husband and I stayed in the chalet "Seligan" . The setting was beautiful. Lovely views, beautiful garden, plenty of birds and squirrels. The restaurant provided a friendly service and served good food in a most pleasant atmosphere. The staff was extremely caring and helpful. The hotel is a few minutes away from the attractions at Sepilok, but if you like walking and you love nature, this is definitely the place to stay!

The room was small and there was always a damp smell in the room ( we stayed in the bunkhouse). As there are few other facilities in the area we ate in the restaurant. The food was OK but the service was very poor. Staff sitting checking phones rather than paying attention to customers. Breakfast was worse as staff were setting up almost 30 minutes after start time.
