“Relax in nature”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014

Rowena made us feel very, very welcome when we arrived at her special place. The property was full of wonderful places to explore and the dogs love to keep you company and guide you to the waterfalls and special wooded paths. Nighttime transformed the valley where Rowena's home is nestled and, on most nights, we gazed at the stars for hours. Our bed had lovely linens and was very comfortable. The spacious shared bathroom had dreamy, one of a kind bathtub set perfectly to look out a window out into the valley. There was also a stall shower, as well as toilet and footbath. All of this would have been enough to recommend a stay at Rowena's , but we had the additional privilege of joining Rowena in pottery lessons... and was a highlight in our trip. The location feels remote and yet is only minutes from the town with wonderful restaurants and an historic Abbaye. Carcassonne and other sights to see were also within easy driving distance. Rowena is a truly caring and lovely person who we enjoyed getting to know during our stay. We warmly recommend a stay at Rowena's -- especially if you are a nature lover.

Set in the rolling hills and in a valley is the home of Rowena Coxall, a potter. She has a lovely home, with two dogs and cats to keep her company. She is a wonderful hostess, nothing is too much trouble and is happy to show you her studio if you wish. Our room was clean and warm and we had our own bathroom across the way. We met fellow travellers, honeymooners who had just arrived too. We all chattered sat outside on Rowena's veranda and it was lovely. The weather was warm and we expected rain it felt that close. I would recommend Rowena's home anytime you are in the area.

Would we stay again, we certainly would and were sorry our stay was only one night but we were travelling home so sadly could not stay longer.
