We have been here last year and this year . Hotel is in a good area plenty of bars in restaurants. Beaches close by to apartments have small pebbles but Rethymnon beach it is all sand.

Air con is 4.50euro per night. Pool good size and always clean.

Rooms are cleaned, fresh bedding and towels are provided every few days. You get free drink on arrival. BBQ night on a Friday is a must

We’ve done a bay cruise and limnouplis waterpark, but Would also recommend Lake Kounnas (hired a car to drive there took about 30mins) this is a fresh water lake with lovely views.

If you have a chance to go up to a village in the mountains with Nikos for a meze then do go

Last year we had a top room at the back which was quiet & view of the sea, this year we had a pool view bit noisy.

what really makes the holiday special is Nikos, Kostas the owners and family. They’re great people and make you feel very welcome! They will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. A lot of people return & We’ll be back again!

Room Tip: Room at the back, at the top, lovely sea view. Room 402

I have stayed here many times. it's a very family run place, and buy the time you leave, you feel like one of the family. the apartments are basic but that's everywhere in Greece. there are plenty of travernas around to eat, and the beach although shingles is a minute walk away. mama and papa do a very good barbecue night followed by Greek dancing which is a must try at least once. nikos and Costa are fab and make the place very special. I look forward to my next visit and I have not even left yet.

Then please don't stay here this place is LIVELY and FRIENDLY and is why Christina's is very popular with its visitors.you are made welcome as you arrive this is not the biggest place you will ever stay but one of the easiest to get to know people small and compact is how I describe it! Nicko and Kostas will entertain you assisted by Chris and few others. We had a studio which was ample for our needs maid service was ok only criticism was toilet bins could have been emptied more frequently, aircon 6pm to 9am for 4.50 euros a day sorted safety deposit box if needed available. The bar area is where to head to to soak up the atmosphere food is available from 9amto 2-30 and is very good valuable. Because of its location the road noise is there but to be honest as time went on and wine flowed it didn't bother us too much. The surrounding area has plenty of tavernas bars crazy golf live music etc obviously with this much going on the place gets busy but is not intolerable. You can walk into Rethymnon along the paths around 3.5K or the beach worth the walk but very populated makes Christina's look desolate. The beach was long with various sun beds situated along its way 5euros for two plus umbrella not bad the sea was unpredictable seashoes advisable for getting in and out for over 40s.All in all it was not what we thought it was going to be but thoroughly enjoyed the fortnight thanks to all for making it.

We chose these apartments as we were booking fairly last minute and the reviews on here were good.

Our first impressions were that the area didn't seem great, but we received a very warm welcome and like everyone else we were given a free drink at the bar. Our accommodation, although basic, was immaculately clean. Storage was perfectly adequate for the two of us. Once we went out to explore the area we found that if you turned right out of the apartments and crossed a bridge just down the road, there was an abundance of tavernas, bars and shops. If you turn right there is a lovely bakers, just a short walk away on the other side of the road. We ate at just 2 of the local tavernas, the one opposite, 'Dionysos' being quite nice.

We went into Rethymnon town on several evenings. There is a bus, which you catch at a bus stop opposite the bakery, that only takes around 15 minutes. You can buy the tickets at the bar of the apartments, they're just €1.20 each way. Rethymnon is lovely, very historical and picturesque, with loads of restaurants and shops. Definitely worth a visit!

The owners of the apartments, Nikos and Kostas are great. They are very hands on and nothing is too much trouble. I would say that if you want a quiet, keep yourselves to yourselves holiday, this place may not be suitable. As we read on here, it seems the majority of their clientele are people who come back year after year. The atmosphere around the pool is quite buzzy. Everyone chats to each other. There is entertainment most evenings. We stayed for the Greek barbecue night which was nice and reasonably priced. We also went on a trip to a village in the mountains for dinner, which Nikos organised. He organises the transport and actually accompanies you all and explains the food that is served. We ate in the street outside a rural taverna. The food was lovely and it cost €15 each including leaving a tip.

Our room was at the front of the apartments. We paid the €4.50 a day charge for air con so at night we could close the balcony doors. We would say that it would be pretty noisy otherwise as the bar, which is open to anyone, is open til 2am plus the road is quite busy with traffic.

The biggest disappointment for us was the beach. It's very stony and scrubby, plus the waters edge is like shingle which is hard to walk on and it gets deep quite quickly. To be fair we didn't explore any further down to see if it was any better.

On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We felt it was good value for money and if you like to feel part of the crowd and valued then this is a great place. We would re-visit!

I stayed at these apartments on the 4th of July this

we really enjoyed our holiday we was welcome as soon as we got there with a free drink at the bar

Mikos and Kostas and their family was very friendly we felt like we have known them for years
nothing was too much trouble for them.

their was plenty of entertainment and the apartments was a short walk to the beach and there was plenty or taverns and restaurants.

the most we paid for a meal was about 35 euros for 3 people.

the apartments was basic but very clean had every thing you needed but you didn't need to do any cooking because the café by the pool done loverly breakfast for 5 euros including Tea or coffee the rooms was cleaned twice a week.

when we left to get on the coach all the guests and staff all waved us off and Nikos and Kostas came to the coach with us to say good bye.
Nikos and Jean and Chris chats to us on facebook.
we will differently go back and recommend it to family and friends

Room Tip: try to get a room at the back because the balconys at the front ground floor was right near the bar...

Recently returned from a two week stay here. We were given a warm welcome on arrival including a complimentary drink at the bar which was a nice touch.
We were in room 312, a one bed apt, on the first floor overlooking the pool. It was spacious enough for the four of us and contained adequate equipment for basic self-catering.
My only issue with the room was the noise from the road - it wasn't a busy, busy road but there weren't many times during the night when there was no traffic noise. Maybe I was a bit over sensitive as we live in a very quiet area, and it wasn't totally unexpected as I'd read previous reviews on here. The noise from the bar didn't bother us, after all it's only people on holiday having fun. However, if visiting again I'd definitely request a rear facing room.
The owners were very friendly and eager to please and the whole complex inside and out was spotlessly clean.

Pool bar serves breakfast and snacks up to 2:30pm. Their Dakos is to be recommended!!

Numerous restaurants line the road, every place we visited we would have been happy to visit again. There are also numerous restaurants in Rethymnon old town - take some time to explore the narrow lanes off the beaten track.

The place where we spent most of our time was the Vai beach bar (turn right out of the apts). Many an early evening was spent watching the sun go down whilst drinking a glass or two of chilled dry white. A laid back and unpretentious bar on a quiet part of the beach.

We didn't go on any of the Thomson arranged tours. Instead we booked a trip to Knossos and Spinalonga with Klados travel (about 5 mins walk from apartments in the direction of Rethymon and on opposite side of the road), this cost 20E each. Also hired a car for a few days from Traffic (opposite apts) and visited (and got lost!!) various other coastal and inland areas of the island.

Room Tip: If noise sensitive opt for a rear facing room (may also be lucky and get a sea view!)

This was the third time we've stopped at these apartments and they never disappoint. Kostas and Nikos work hard to make sure that the holiday is enjoyable from start to finish and there is always a great atmosphere. It's no wonder that many go back each year and we are already planning to return next year too.

I have mobility issues and these apartments are ideally located for me as the surroundings are flat, there are two supermarkets, a bakery and some nice restaurants virtually across the road and even the bus stop is near the bakery. If you get an apartment at the rear you may also be lucky to get a sea view. The barbecue with Greek dancing should definitely not be missed and they also do a quiz night, bingo and karaoke but our most memorable trips have been organised by Nikos when he has taken us for meals at places that you would not normally get to visit without native knowledge for a true taste of Crete - and at exceptionally reasonable prices too!!

There are several trips available on a yellow train which can be booked locally, and there is also a red train but the booking station is near Lidl. Taxis to and from Rethymnon cost 10 Euros. Bus tickets cost 1.20 Euros but have to be bought before boarding but these can be bought from reception or the bar at the apartments, or from supermarkets and kiosks.

There is a market in the square on a Thursday and the bus stops there near the tourist information office. If you go down the road past the tourist information place this brings you to the old town and we have several times visited a restaurant down here called The Lemon Tree which is excellent. The bus takes you into Rethymnon in one direction and to Panormo at the other and the last bus is at 11pm.

There is a car hire place directly across the road and Kostas and Nikos are very proud of their island and happy to help with information and directions on places to visit for the more adventurous.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter as on main road and some have a sea view/partial sea view. Ground floo...
