Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, very very clean and really good breakfast! Highly recommended! A bit far from downtown but there are buses nearby.

We stayed at Hotel Costa Linda for three nights in July. Very spacious room, clean. Nice pool, very helpful staff,.
The buffet breakfast was great, and the staff will also cook you fresh eggs, anyway you wish. The restaurant serves good value meals.
The beach is nearby (5 mins), buses to Porlamar also nearby.

We visited the Island for a wedding and were not disappointed by this hotel. OTher guests had other accomodation in El Agua and throughout the island and - in comparison - we were very happy with our choice.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are old but charming (choose an upper floor rooms, the ground floor ones I found slightly dark and depressing) with a hammock on the balcony. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool and bar area is lovely, particulary in the evening with the ambient lighting.

The food in the restaurant in the evening is decent and well priced. The breakfast is fantastic (if you are a fruit fan particularly) although if you come too late they often ran out of things.

El Agua itself is very quiet in the evenings, with not many choices for restaurants. This is because most Venezuelan tourists stay in Porlamar or Pampatar and travel to the beaches during the day. So if you want to party the evenings away (without taking a taxi) its not the place to stay.

I stay 15 days in Costa Linda hotel. I use TripAdvisor reviews to choose this option but now I think that could be better.
The hotel is nice. Spacious rooms, a good pool, near of beach, a bar with good cocktails, a restaurant, some facilities like towels, chairs and umbrellas on the beach (with partnership of two good restaurants), free wi-fi with good bandwidth, cable TV and some others things.

But I can't give 10 to this hotel for these things:
Along 15 days the breakfast is the same "every day" and beside the breakfast area exist a street with a terrible smell of trash and rotten things. The restaurant don't open every day (is sad for people that looking a place to rest) and the open hours are amazing (small lunch, dinner stating 4p.m. and closing 8.30p.m.) and some days the noise is amazing. A lot of parties near of the hotel with a strong sound and music playing after 2.a.m.

The staff is good but some people need a training to attend clients (mainly the kitchen people). On the room, the chair is a nightmare and the table is so small that you cannot put a laptop and a mouse (a netbook can be).

If you need a place to rest (really!), I can't recommend this hotel but if you go with friends to fun and just go to the beach, is a good choice.

Prompted by many of the positive reviews that I saw on Trip Advisor about this hotel, I booked a weekend at Costa Linda. I was not at all disappointed.

The rooms were clean- this was a huge issue for me after having spent time during a previous trip to Margarita in a filthy hotel in the Capital- and I felt comfortable in them. The hammock on the balcony was also a plus.

I liked the quaint rustic look of the hotel environment. Its definitely not a modern hotel, but that was part of the charm to me. There were a lot of antique tools and items displayed throughout the hotel that made just walking to and fro the rooms an interesting journey.

The staff was pretty helpful. I can not complain much, except about the long wait that we had at dinner the first night and that although breakfast was supposed to begin at 7:30, all the dishes were not out at that time-more like at 8:00 am. However, the breakfast itself was great.
'We had a bit of a problem connecting to the internet in the wiifi area and the receptionist was not able to connect us to Grenada (where we are from ) from the hotel phone.

The ac in our room conked out twice during the weekend, so that was a downer for us. The second time it happened it was at night and made sleeping almost impossible. However, the hotel staff was happy to rectify this as soon as we notified them.

The location of the hotel is great in that its a few minutes walk to the beach and there are a couple of nice restauarants in the vicinity- Pacifico is one of them. It is about 30 mins from the commercial areas of JuanGriego and Porlamar. This would cost you about 45-60 BF (10 Us)

All in all, I had a very enjoyable visit. I would definitely visit again for a longer period and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to have a nice relaxing time in Margarita.

Choosing a hotel, and indeed area, to stay on Margarita Island from home in London, England for a first visit to Venezuela is not easy, but we were very pleased with the Costa Linda. The rooms on the top floor have 2 double beds, are spacious with safe and some have balconies and hammocks and are very clean. The staff speak enough english and can organise tours. They arranged diving day trips for our 21 year old daughter. Breakfasts and the restaurant were very good. It was lovely to swim in the pool when dodging the waves in the sea became a little too much. It is useful to hire a car to access other beaches and see more of Margarita. All in all a very nice hotel with good service and excellent accommodation.

We've enjoyed the time spent in the hotel. They have free WiFi and rooms with balconies equiped with hamacs, where you can spent evening and/or morning hours while siping venezuelas ron. The WiFi is not accessible in rooms, only near swiming pool and in restaurant/bar areas. Reception staff speeks english well and can advise local tour guides bureau and and currency exchange agents. The hotel located 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the best beach restaurants and several discos (discos mostly latino music, what was very boring for us)
