We hadn't planned too far ahead on this leg of our trip, so we were feel really fortunate that we found the Linda Vista. It's a bit of an adventure getting here, but we're on a motorcycle built for that kind of thing so it was pretty easy. Cabs will come out here, and if you have your own car you'll just need some patience to get down the pothole road the 7km to the hotel.

But you'll be rewarded with a room on the hill with a panoramic view of the SW side of the volcano from the glass wall of your room (we stayed in the Jr.) and open your door to let the air blow through and a great view of the lake, valleys and hills to the south. Staying on this side of the volcano gives you a view of both the volcano and lake.

We've actually seen more wildlife and birds around the hotel than we did on our tours of the Park, we even saw an ant eater on a day ride just west of the hotel.

The breakfast is OK and could use a bit of an improvement, but the rest food very good and the infinity pool at sunset is great. Very affordable too compared to the resorts on the other side of the volcano. Tour operators will come out to pick you up from here (for less than a cab would). Skip the volcano tour and walk it yourself, we loved guided the hanging bridges tour though.

A relaxing stay well off the beaten path. The view of the volcano and the lake are well worth the drive. The on site restaurant had wonderful food and we enjoyed the hot tub. The grounds are right near the Sky Trek/Zip Lining.

Room Tip: Be prepared to drive down a long drive which can be adventurous in the dark.

We spent 3 nights here in a master suite and I could have stayed another week just sitting on the balcony watching the view. We just got back after the rainy season and the lightning shows were spectacular. I was hoping to see the volcano spew a little something. Very private but you have to drive a bit down an unpaved road. Well worth the drive for view of the lake and Arenal Volcano. Gilbert was great serving us breakfast every morning and Bryan helped my boyfriend out at the front desk. The sounds outside were incredible and despite what I had read about crime in Costa Rica, we felt TOTALLY safe. All the staff were incredible friendly and I was very sad when we left. We will be back someday!!

Room Tip: If you can get a master suite, there is a computer in the room which REALLY helped me every night to...

This is the place to find peace and relax. There is a lot of privacy. I jump out from the room to see the sunrise, the volcano along the lake, the greens and the birds, forest sounds, breathtaking.... The view from the pool is very good too. My husband and my brother works hard and I find them relaxed in the middle of nature.

The rooms are clean, spacious, GORGEOUS VIEW, home feeling. We had 1 queen, 2 single beds (one of them has a second layer for extra space), so a room can sleep 5 persons max by adding additional fee. We had promotion of 2 night for 1 night price breakfast included, so it was really worth the money.

Staff was great. Thanks to Ana, Gilberth and Mario.I was celebrating my daughter 1st birthday in their a little deck with plenty view beside the pool, the staff help us a lot! I email days before ordering from their online menu, all foods I needed including the cake and hand made beverage in family size that was not in the menu, I ask them to let me know how much it would cost, they replied promptly and prepared it all, they did not ask deposit or something, just very kind and good service from restaurant, food was good and wide range of price to choose.

I take 1 star away, because at night rain hit so strong, that water were falling from roof right into the center of the room and in the bed, the electricity went away at my brother's room, the security Yancy and Juan help us immediately to change room and restore the electricity. The second day the owner also gave us discount for what happened. So we had a pleasant stay.

To be prepared: To have a the lake and volcano view together, it means longer the trip, compared to others only volcano view hotels, it requires 8km, 15min additional road with stones. The additional journey was interesting since the plants are different, we saw wild little animal and birds, close to the Hotel has a supermarket, so it is convenient too.

Room Tip: Master Suites has balcony into yard, allows you to see honey birds feeding from the flowers in the m...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which had an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano. The room was very clean and well maintained and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. My 5-year old daughter loved their infinity pool and jacuzzi as well as the hotel's dogs and cats. It's location is what makes it special---not commercial and over crowded with other hotels, though the dirt road leading to the hotel can be a bit challenging, but worth it--the views are incredible! There is a lot to do in the area so try to stay a few days if you can.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful. Off the beaten path a bit but well worth the 15 or so off road minutes. You get a great view of the volcano (we woke up to it each morning). The staff were super friendly. The rooms were incredible clean. The restaurant was a little expensive but they have a captive audience so I don't blame them for raising the price a dollar or two. We were woken up by howler monkeys every morning. A little early on vacation, but how many times can you say you were woken up by monkeys every morning.

My only complaint was our shower was a little awkward but plenty of hot water and very tidy.

Yes you will have some bugs on the floor. You're in the middle of the jungle. Bring bug spray. And sunscreen. I would absolutely go back to this hotel if I was in the Arenal area again.

Room Tip: We had AC in our junior suite but our companion in a regular room didn't.

We very much enjoyed our 2 day stay in this hotel. The staff is very friendly, the jacuzzi and the pool are fantastic. The food is good. Don't miss the huge terrace behind the reception building, it has breathtaking views on the Arenal volcano and the lake. You see a lot of beautiful birds especially in the morning, sometimes even some hummingbird, on top of the butterflies... The "outback" road to get there is a bit rough but it is definitely worth it. Don't miss the SkyTram and the SkyTrail over the canopy, just 5min away from the hotel and a No-Miss! Have fun!
