Best view for dinner in Arenal and the food is amazing. We were welcomed without a reservation and had the best meal of our whole vacation. This young couple are a great team and compliment each other. It is obvious that a lot of work goes into every meal and the atmosphere is to die for! It is worth the drive and watch for the Nepenthe sign. They have a great view of Arenal Lake, that we could not see from our hotel in Castillo. It was a highlight of our vacation and we love telling our friends about the Puma. You will feel right at home.

“A chew with a view”

I'll definitely be going back to Tres Cabras at Nepenthe B&B. The food was amazing and a nice personal touch to the service made it even more memorable. I'm excited to see the development of the new restaurant coming soon and can't wait to try more of Rebbeca's creations. As a vegetarian it's not very common to find a place so accommodating in central America. Thanks to both of you for a great week.

“Well worth the drive!”

As part of Nepenthe B & B, the views are amazing. Rebecca and Ryan are serving a limited menu but everything is fresh and home made. We have been twice and each time had amazing meals. We brought our good friends who we're visiting from Wisconsin and they commented that the food was excellent. We intend to continue going back. This is a friendly and competent wonderful dining experience.

“Tres Cabras...my home!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

Mi Casa...those are the words that fill my memory of Tres Cabras...
Tucked in beautiful El Castillo, attached to the wonderful Nepenthe Bed and Breakfast, Tres Cabras...is home.Providing nutritious, well portioned meals at an affordable rate, Ryan and Rebecca have it DOWN! Ryan serves and smiles and keeps patrons happy with his excellent service and once in a while, a song on his guitar. While REBECCA...she holds it down in the cocina.
I ate Ceviche at every stop on my holiday but Rebecca's was the BEST - bar none.

Wine, apps, mains, all incredible - and they provided us with great variety every night.
I work at a 5-star club in Toronto with world-class food - and Tres Cabaras held up to that quality.
Thanks for an amazing visit and keeping our bellies satisfied.
Can't wait to go back!

“Incredible Hospitality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

Ryan and Rebecca were great hosts. They welcome you into their restaurant as if you were friends coming over for an intimate and laid back dinner party. On our first night, we sat at the bar and chatted with Rebecca as she cooked and Ryan continuously refilled our wine. We had fresh pasta (Rebecca makes her own) and some of the best ceviche in Costa Rica. The second night was even better, with local friends from the area lounging around after dinner and playing music together. It was definitely more fun and memorable than what you can expect from most restaurants, fancy or not. Ryan and Rebecca have something really special to offer, a genuine sense of hospitality that makes a traveler feel more at home. Thanks so much guys!
