“Sets the standard for B&Bs - beyond charming!”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

This property has been renovated and decorated to an extremely high standard and is a joy to stay at. Even though we had to change rooms, we were delighted with our accommodation - the main bedroom was just enormous and had such lovely features.
We opted to 'eat in' on two of the three nights we stayed and the night we ventured to a local restaurant we were very disappointed.
The meals in, whilst not magnificent, were more than adequate and much of the ingredients are grown at the property. I dug up the potatoes for our second meal which was lots of fun.
The communal dining table was most enjoyable - it's great fun to mix with the other guests and share their stories - several we met have been there numerous times - I can see why!
Penny and Peter have obviously spent a lot of time and effort making this property a labour of love and it's a great credit to them. Their two lovely dogs also add to the homely ambiance!
We would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed at the Manoir de Kerledan for four nights while attending our friends wedding. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Penny an English rose and later by Peter handyman extraordinaire. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and served in a grand dining room with the wood burner roaring away. Some of our party stayed in the family room and took advantage of Penny's evening meal. Clean plates! While others strolled around the mature gardens.
Penny's knowledge on where to explore helped us along our way and each time we returned the families friendly dogs would welcome us at the gates.

Thank you for your wonderful hospitality
Steve and Sally

I am writing this as I finish the last of my delicious home made cassis jam, given to us on departure from Manoir de Kerledan. I almost didn't write a review at all as our stay was so good that I didn't want to share this place! It really is a must go to place and I would even say worth going to Brittany just to stay here! Thanks Penny and Peter for a fantastic few days- the place, food and company were amazing

We were delighted by the unique and very personal character of this unexpected and charming manor house in the centre of Brittany. Penny and Peter are impeccable hosts, very friendly and welcoming, they have created a peaceful and enchanting haven for their guests.
Dinner was perfect outdoors in the summer sun, delicious, plentiful, and in very good company.
We hope to go back someday.

A renovation tour de force by Penny and Peter, who welcomed us with sumptuous decor, fresh delicious gourmet meals, and their warm engaging personalities. We got to tip-toe through their magnificent sculpted garden retreats, relax with tea in the beautiful lounge, enjoy their wonderful library and suggestions of where to go in this gorgeous area of Brittany. Our fabulously decorated upstairs bedroom was spacious, comfy and looked over the beautiful garden courtyard below. Their cheery nature, attention to detail, and generosity in every way, made this a very special part of our holiday.

If you are looking for a very special place, wonderful food and congenial hosts, don't miss this opportunity. Peter and Penny have created a dream spot tucked away in central Brittany. A historic house, unique rooms, very comfy beds and all the posh bath details to add that touch of lux. Peter and Penny's distinctive personalities shine through in the lovely decor, the picture perfect gardens and their warm welcome. This is a home they have constructed with love and imagination, and they are exceptional hosts. Absolutely don't miss Penny's lovely dinners; vegetables and fruit fresh from the kitchen garden, delicious gourmet menus with local wines, and breakfast with lots of extras - we are still talking about the great meals we enjoyed at the Manoir. After years of travel in France, the Manior de Kerledan gets very high marks on our recommended list and we can only hope to be lucky enough to return for another unforgettable stay.

We were greeted warmly by Penny when we arrived and immediately offered tea and some homemade cake in the courtyard. We were blown away by this beautiful building and grounds. The rooms are just perfect and the service faultless. We instantly felt at home and wished we were staying longer than just the one night! Dinner was delightful, Penny and Peter are perfect hosts, friendly and informative but never intrusive. The house and outbuildings, which were once derelict and have been restored by them to create this truly wonderful and unique place to stay. Breakfast was divine and as we were leaving soon after, to cycle to Roscoff, Penny filled a baguette with cheese, meats & chutney for us to take for the journey. Thank you Penny it was much appreciated some 75k later! We would love to return for a longer stay another time.
