The Glenferrie Lodge was a great choice for a 2 day stay. It's just beyond the main tourist areas of Sydney, but only a short ferry ride (1 stop), or walk across the Sydney Bridge (30 minutes) to the centre of it all. Views of the bridge and opera house. Short walk to good food.
The Lodge itself does have several steps - even to get up to the main entrance. Not a problem for me, but just a warning. Shared bathrooms were kept clean. The shower rooms could use some more hooks and/or shelves so that one can shower a little more comfortably.
Room was clean. Flatscreen TV, fridge. Very simple. Small balcony. It's quiet and quaint. Breakfast was quite excellent - good selection of hot items and continental items.
A great choice if you want to be out of the main cruise ship tourist area, but close enough to get around without extensive transportation.More
