This is a 2 star hotel so do not expect it to be grand. On arrival we were greeted and shown to or rooms. They were immaculate crisp clean white sheets and the bathroom was immaculate. We did not have breakfast there as we thought we would eat out. The only thing that spoilt the hotel was smoking. The hotel might be non smoking but the bars downstairs were and the hall stairs landing and bedrooms stuck of cigarettes. The room was soon sorted by opening the window and leaving it open but we had to encounter the hall stairs and landing. As we only paid about £50 per night per couple we cannot complain.
Would we go back there possible but only if we were on a budget.
Nice restaurants nearby and parking was right outside. If using a sat nav the address is ieperstraat.

I would absolutely recommend that anyone spending the night in Poperinge stay at this cute little hotel.

It is very conveniently located right off the main town square and just a short walk from the train station (the station and the hotel are both on Ieperstraat, so finding this place is foolproof). Everyone we dealt with during our stay, I am guessing the owner and his family, was friendly and accommodating in letting us check in as early as possible. Our room and the en suite bathroom were spacious, clean, and well-decorated. I feel like hotels rarely live up to the way they appear in photos, but this one did. If I ever find myself in Poperinge again, I would definitely stay here.

The Palace hotel is centrally located within Poperinge. The owners couldn't have been more helpful or friendly if they tried, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was traveling as part of a group of 6 motorcyclists and again the owners came up trumps by allowing us to park our bikes in the locked courtyard overnight. We used the hotel as a base to explore the historic sights of WW1 and all are within easy distance of Poperinge. The room was perfect, shower and facilities looked brand new. The bar seemed quiet, but the Irish pub just up the road was a good place to while away an evening and the Chinese around the corner from the pub provided very good food. The continental breakfast provided in the morning was more than adequate to get the day started. We will be returning at some point in the future.

Room Tip: Try room 22, it's in the gods, but with the blind pulled it is pitch black and you get a fantast...

stopped here for three nights on our way home, a lovely hotel, the room was a large airy double overlooking the main street. It was quiet, and very comfortable, and clean. The people that ran the hotel were realy friendly, and looked after us very very well. would stay again. no car park, but pay spaces outside and in the square not far away.
