We were recommended this Trattoria by a local vineyard.Perched up on the hills overlooking the valley between Mezzocorona and Trento, the charming restuarant also had a terrace offering a lovely view overlooking the vineyards.Menu consisted of local produce from the Trentino area and a few extra touches from elsewhere in Italy, but you could see the chef was serious about his kitchen.Excellent antipasti and delicous homemade tagliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms.Very good local wines and friendly, professional service.Look forward to going back!!

This is a small place, few tables, and a young chef who likes to experiment.
What a treat! The food was exquisite, we went back twice to try the other dishes as we really couldn't choose.
I tasted the fillet with a mustard sauce that melted in the mouth, a braised steak in a wine sauce and the carne salada (a kind of cured meat) with the rosti and goat's cheese and they were all excellent.
However, I would advise anyone to check the ingredients with the waitress (very kind and helpful, by the way) as the descriptions on the menu are not always complete. For example, I had the lemon and olive oil cake with walnut ice cream for dessert which was truly delicious, but the cake also had hazlenuts which weren't specified on the menu.
A starter and main course, with dessert, carafe of wine and coffee cost around 30 euros per head. Really excellent value.

Some decent, original dishes in this homely trattoria, but the service aspect is something the Callegari family ought to do something about. First, there is no interest whatsoever in the food which is being served ('What kind of cheese is this?' 'No idea'). Secondly, a dish was advertised as containing Jerusalem artichokes (our reason for choosing it). When we pointed out that there were none, first there was a phase of denial, then it turned out that the chef had replaced them with 'a brioche' (without informing us). This is unprofessional and partly explains the 'average' judgement, even if some (not all) dishes were very good (notably a veal with a peanut sauce).
