Description: Built in 1874 on the site of an old coaching inn. The Buck Inn is set in the centre of the picturesque village of Malham. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and quiet, offering you a break from the noisy cosmopolitan life of the big cities. Yet its only a short drive from both Yorkshire and greater Manchester.

“Average food rip of prices”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

A group of eight walkers called for a pub lunch. The food was average pub grub but the prices they charge indicate that the food is of a far higher standard, it is not.
We will not eat here again.

“Nice food but very busy”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

A pretty location. Good beer, the food was quite good but they had run out of quite a few choices when we were there. Bar staff could have been more approachable - one older chap does make you feel that it really is too much trouble, actually. That said the younger staff were all very efficient. It's a nice, basic, village pub and if you just want a post-walk beer and decent grub you can't beat it. Don't expect Michelin-star experience though.

“Hospitality at it's worse!”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

Staff seemed disinterested. Seemed as if they gave every excuse for us not to eat with them. So we obliged and went to the pub 50 meters away.
Don't understand why they even come to work.... ? ?

“Food only okay. Overpriced.”
Reviewed 25 March 2012

We had lunch so cannot comment on full meals. Sandwiches were fine, other meals not so good. Service was ok and reasonably friendly.
prices seemed very high for the quality of the food and the type of establishment. Puddings were between five and seven pounds, children's meals (disappointing standard selection of chicken nuggets type fayre) between five and seven pounds too. Ploughmans lunch was over ten pounds.
